I´m impressed with the deput of Vladislav TARASENKO. 52 points for a boy born in 1997 are quite good! Russia must be so happy for all this talented skaters ....

What a landslide for Farris and Messing. I hope Messing has worked on his long program because of what happened at JR worlds 2010.

Keegan has a terrific FS. He scored 141.45 on it at the Senior Men's competition at Liberty, two months ago. He finished 2nd to Patrick Chan, who scored 149 and change.

I've also heard that Joshua Farris scored over 120 in his FS at a summer competition just a few weeks ago.

Good for Keiji, it's not an amazing score or anything but I really think he could get bronze here :D

Tarasenko does a crazy spin with his leg on the shoulder , has anyone done it before?

I heard Keegan popped his triple to a single, after landing his 3/3 and his 3a. At Liberty he had a quad attempt in his LP. It will be interesting to see whether he goes for it in the LP.

Keegan got the highest PCS score in the SP---higher than Joshua Farris.

As well he should. Keegan skates with great speed and energy and is very charismatic; while Joshua, despite being a good jumper, needs a lot of work in his artistic side, basics and speed. He's your average Tom Z. skater in that regard.

Hope Keegan can skate as well as he can tomorrow :)

Farris had 3 deductions and is in the first overall, but lost the FS to Dong-Won Lee.

Firus, Messing, Tarasenko & Sosniak are still to skate.

Gold and Silver for the USA ... Bronze for Japan.

Very good result for the young Korean boy ... and a good and solid result for the Baby russian boy (born 1997)

Sei Kawahara landed a 3A! Not clean though.
He started figure skating AFTER Torino Olympics. Very promising boy.

Congratulations to all the medalists! And It's so nice to see a Korean boy do well! Dong-Won is only 13 years old!

Messing is a very ambitious jumper who also gets really high PCS and Farris got all level 4 spins with positive GOE (doing better than Messing) while being seen as a jumper. Interesting! Unique combos.

You've got to give it up to both Keegan and Joshua for trying very ambitious jump programs.
