Mao landed 3A(the landing was not perfected and possibly UR), 3L-2L and 3F. She got the biggest Standing Ovation. This should give her confidence for tomorrow:biggrin:

Akiko had a step out on her 3Lz and probably got an "e"

Apparently Fumie did at 3Z-2T; 3F ; 2A for a score of 57.18 into fifth. Which means Akiko is in seventh. UGH...However...the point spread isn't that much..still reasonable for Akiko to make a comeback...

Well, Miki got 64 for 3Lz-2L, 3L and 2A. Mao's 3A, Ur and two foot, still has more points that 2A. So I think it was fair. Kanako singled her 2A ans got 61.

UR 3A base is 6 combine with to foot landing (-3) she should get around 3 points which is less than Miki's clean 2A

Congrat to Mao anyway! She always brave and she prove that she can comeback.

Mao's base value, without accounting any mistakes is 20.70. Ando's is 16.20. Including a UR 3A (70 percent value) that base value goes down to 18.15. She's less than 2 points ahead of Ando, so that seems reasonable.

It's not an automatic -3 for twofoots. Maybe it should be, but I think that at most judges will give -1 or -2.

Plus Mao has awesome spins, so she probably got some +GOE from that.

Let's wait to see the programs. I don't agree that twofoots deserve automatic -3. A twofoot is not a fall.

So bummed that Akiko is all the way in 7th. But there's just 4.64 points separating her from the podium, so I think she can make a run for it in the FS.
