It's been hours since this competition ended and I'm surprised nobody has posted, so I'll jump in. Medalists:
Gold: Monko/Khaliavin (RUS)--to nobody's surprise
Silver: Pushkash/Guerreiro (RUS)--also pretty much expected
Bronze: Lichtman/Copely (USA)--I didn't quite expect this. Great for them!

I presume all three of these teams must move up to Seniors for next season.

Zahorski/Miart (FRA) ended up in fourth after second-highest FD and highest TES even above M/K. Have made specific note to check this team out as they seemed to come out of nowhere.

M/K lacks motivation this season and not even trying to skate their best. Why, oh why did they stay in juniors, is this title really that important? Hope next season they will skate cleaner.
P/G looks better with Linichuk, but still have to improve if they want to be competitive in seniors.
And the French team really was on today, latina suits them very well.
The Americans didn't impress me, but deserve their medals

To my annoyance, I haven't been able to find Lichman/Copley, yet. Enjoy.
Also thank you Shlepa for directing me to videos #1,2, & 4.

Enjoyed those performances. M/K were the class act of the field but they were a bit of their SB's, I think they were not on top form here. My favourite performance was by K/M, it was a delight, hopefully they can build on this. Great result for the Slovakians, they must have skated very poorly in the Europeans to not qualify they are a long way above that now. Very disappointed with the Spanish result, I would have them well above 10th in the free skate.

As Junior World Champs are M/K entitled to places on the Senior Grand Prix or will they have to be allocated them by the Russian team? There is a lot of depth in the Russain squad at the moment, going to be very tought to make their european or world squad.

Thank you, Mathieu. L/C did well. In my assessment, they skated better than they did at the US Nationals.
Congratulations are in order for Tiffany ZAHORSKI / Alexis MIART, who leapfrogged 5 places to receive the 4th place finish.

I also watched Gabriella PAPADAKIS / Guillaume CIZERON's FD several times. The more I watched the sadder I felt for Cizeron, who seems to be unable to realize his full potential with his partner.

Given the complicated political situation, I wonder if one way to get around his partnership dilemma is to try out with a foreign female partner(s). There are many talented and promising young Russian female ice dancers. I know historically Russia and France have close and mutually beneficial relationship with each other.

Given the higly successful partnership between Marina Annisina (originally Russian) and Gendal Peizerat, the "influential coach Papadakis" may refrain herself better if Cizeron sought a Russian dancer. Just a thought.

Anyway, I wish all the French dance teams the best luck; thanks also for your input, Mathieu. It's been informative.

Where you find FD of Gabriella and Guillaume? I only find the SD from Worlds.

I think Guillaume is happy about Gabriella, they are French champions 5 times.

Sorry Mathieu. I watched it a day after the actual competition. I went back to look the Youtube video up, but it no longer is there.

You are welcome. It looks like the 2011 World figure skating champtionships will occur this spring. Currently 6 countries (The United States, Russia, Canada, Austria, Finland and Croatia) bid for sponsoring the event.

I hope it occurs for Pechalat/Bourzat along with Moir/Virtue & Davis/White, who are strongly favored to medal.
