All my pics are high rez (very good for wallpaper purposes lemme tell ya). I'm only posting a tiny percentage of the pics available, post any requests you may have!

Let's start things off with a bang! I present to you The Least Flattering Picture In Skating Ever:

The donkey from Shrek?

No, it's actually Sarkis Haurapetyan of Armenia during the prelims. He finished second to last, likely because he made that face. I love how the photographer actually cropped and arranged that pic so it has an artsy composition, as if that would somehow elevate this sordid affair.

This one is also very cartoonish:

Canada's Joey Russell as an angry pufferfish?

The greatest extension ever...

... of the mouth

Viktor Pfffffffffffffeifer of Austria is the oral Sasha Cohen.

Welcome to the nose bleed section

This is a very special post that people may want to skip over if they're icked out. It's dedicated entirely to Eric Redford and Meagan Duhamel of Canada, a pairs team that started the SP off by her elbowing him in the face as she came down from a lateral triple twist. Some of the pics aren't particularly high rez, but I think that's because the photo editors really wanted to get those sensationalistic shots out and were not above cropping down sub-part shots.

And now... here it is... this pic shows the moment of impact:

That is just painful to look at. As you can see, the tip of her elbow hit his nose square on. It's the people's elbow!

You may be bleeding, but you still gotta hoist the chick:

The centrifugal forces during a sit spin do not help any:

This one just cracks me up, it's Eric trying to emote appropriately while bleeding over half his face:

Meagan looks especially nonplussed in that picture.

And their final pose:

"Great, now it's all over my rack!"

Just so you know, Eric is perfectly fine now after the bleeding stopped. But it did make for a very dramatic performance. Kudos to them for carrying on as if nothing happened and skating so well.

Wow. Thanks for the recap. Definite kudos to them for keeping their cool throughout. Nice.

My previous post said that Eric is perfectly fine now, I might be wrong (I read that on another post on this forum that quoted the head of Skate Canada). According to this AP article, Eric did in fact break his nose and is in a bit of pain. He's not entirely sure if he can continue in this competition. Eek! Fingers crossed!

What was really odd was that Megan didn't even notice the blood until the end of the program when she looked at his face---and she was totally shocked! She had no idea he'd gone through the entire program with a bloody nose---I guess she's so short that she never looked all the way up at Eric's face.

According to the AP article in my previous post on this thread, Meagan did notice well before that:

"No, Meagan mentioned it after the lift," Radford said. "She said 'You're going to have to stop,' but I just kept on going. I could see, I could breathe, I'm not dying, I'll finish the program and deal with it after."
