Does anyone know if/when I can buy tickets to this? Do they need to be bought in advance? And how much they will cost?

I think they are $5 at the door, you can just buy it when you arrive. Plenty of seating (but hard/cold/uncomfortable, so bring your own cushion/blanket). I hope to go as well, maybe we could meet up. :)

I'm tweeting top results/scores as I receive them from the rink and editing them into my blog (ETA on Saturday that Senior Ladies SP and Junior Men SP results from Friday night are now added): http://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/2011/08/04/2011-glacier-falls-summer-classic-aug-5-7/

Still waiting to hear Senior Ladies SP (ETA correct placements 1st-6th: A Wagner, M Nagasu, C Hicks, L Keiser, C Zhang, V Lam) and Junior Men SP results...

ETA: Many thanks to feraina for this Marley/Brubaker SP exhibition video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zBlROnNIro

I commented on Caroline & Mirai in other threads. Ashley's program is a firecracker and she's looking sharper than I've seen in a long time. It looks like her move is working. Courtney Hicks - wow, what a talent. Great height on the jumps and some marvelous spins including that remarkable sit spin variation she invented (I think). I love her flying camel. She's got the "it" factor, IMO. Leah Kaiser is very strong technically too but doesn't seem to connect to her music. Both she and Courtney have 3/3's. After seeing them, I have to say I'm less optimistic about Caroline. She's improving but the field around her is not standing still for her. But she's improving.

About Ashley I look many times at her lutz and i think that there was a outside edge...did she fix her lutz this summer or I am wrong..:laugh:

Jason Brown has the 3A now (more or less)! That's a great program, he reminds me a little of Rohene Ward with that flexible back and amazing fluidity. (And I believe Rohene has choreographed his FP?) I don't get why Razzano scored higher than he did, but no biggie, they were very close. Brown already has screaming fans, LOL.

Thank you feraina, and two other people who took time to shoot and post the videos. Wish I could have watched Ladies SP live. Nagasu, Wagner, Zhang, Lam, Hicks, Kaiser, Daniels in Senior and Gold, Kulgeyko in Junior, to me that's more attractive than GP/4CC/Euros/Worlds :) So far I watched Kaiser, Lam, Wagner, and Hicks's SPs. Pity about Lam's and Hicks's jumps, Lam's score seems a bit too low to me. but I'm very excited Hicks tried second-3Lo combo! I know it's a bit cheated but looks better than her 3F3T at Jr Worlds. Not many skaters (can) do second-3Lo combos, and especially as Asada and Ando avoiding them nowadays... I guess Sotnikova and Hicks are the only two doing it this season?
As I watch more of Leah, she reminds me of Mao Asada in many aspects more than ZiJun Li does of Mao. And she now has wonderful 3Lz3T combo too. As an Ashley fan I'm happy her jumps were as crisp as ever, and the choreo is interesting. I guess it's too late for Ashley but somehow, practicing with Courtney may motivate her to bring back her 3F3Lo... well, probably not.

@burntBREAD
I agree, she has so many good qualities but her Bielmann has always looked slow and labored.

@Sylvia
I checked your entry at Unseen Skaters, something strange about Gold's and Kulgeyko's jump layouts, no triples?

Ashley's Black Swan today was terrific. I think she popped one jump, but everything else was very confident. She should be in first. Loved Mirai's program; it just needs time to develop; Courtney Hicks was outstanding, and this was the first time I've seen Leah Keiser in person. I really like her; she looks happy to be there--always smiling on and off the ice.

I thought Ashley Wagner has a very nice long program. If she could only do a clean program in competition, the whole thing would look perfect. I liked both Mirai's music choice and costume but thought the choreography was a bit lacking. In the beginning, it looked pretty good. But she seemed to lose the character halfway through the program. In the end, the music was very fast so I was expecting something like a step sequence or some jumps. Instead, to the fast music, she did spins that didn't fit the dynamic of the music. I hope the program will look better at competitions in the future. Mirai is a great skater herself. She just needs to believe in herself because she has everything to become a great skater.

Thank you feraina, and two other people who took time to shoot and post the videos.

You are welcome! :)

Besides the videos, I also did PBP for most of the junior and senior events and posted them at FSU. If you want to know how someone did, and there's no video, and you can't access FSU's competition section, you can ask me to find the PBP for you -- just PM me.

Of the 3 LPs, I've got to say I enjoyed Caroline's the most--and that's something I did not expect.
