Suguri has lost triple jumps completely and failed to qualify. Perhaps, it would be better for her to avoid further embarrassment.

I wonder what happened to make her lost all her triples. Did she stop training or have an injury? Mind you, professional skaters that have been away from competition for many years still have their triples, so something must have happened to make her lose them completely.

That's what Jiji news speculated out of the fact that Suguri stated her right ankle sprain as the reason she pulled out from Finlandia in early October.
I wonder if she will be sent to Merano Cup or be substituted.

She tweeted nevertheless that she will not retire till she has one good skate that she herself can approve.

does she mean, at any age? if she's a perfectionist, it could be even at, like, 40 years old. that would be a little curious to watch.

Well at the ripe age of 42, Midori Ito executed a double axel at an adult competition. Maybe a lady her age has no business getting on the competitive ice, but she just couldn't give up her compulsive addiction to figure skating.
