Ahhhh, I can't believe how nervous I am for Brandon Mroz, I want to see him land that 4L in competition here at the NHK. I'm so nervous I can barely type nor watch the mens practice.

Where's the nervous stressed out emoticon when you need it! :sheesh:

Good to note that Machida got the highest PCS on his performance, then interpretation. Those were really his weak points in the past.

I hope Mroz lands that quad lutz, then gets deservedly crushed in the PCS.

What a bizarre final group. Hardly a sequin or a dash of exotic colour to be found. I can't believe that Takahiko Kozuka is the most flashily-dressed skater in the entire group.

Michael Brezina? The commentator is really hopeless. It's like today was his first day at work.

Menshov has that wonderful quality to his jumps where massive height is achieved and the rotation is done completely in the air. Even on the Quad. The program needs more flavor, though, especially if he wants to utilize the costume like that.

Ross Miner has sadly regressed from last season. Not much else to say. He's forgettable white bread right now.

Tatsuki Machida shows so much potential and was the best in terms of presentation from the first group. It's official that Japan easily has the strongest Men's field across the board.

 ALL RIGHT, HE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

My teeth were literally chattering beforehand, then when his music started I instantly relaxed and started clapping around with the rest of the audience. I'm sooooo proud of him, he's honestly like Jimmy Steward on ice skates, I love it!!!

BRAVO, BRANDON MROZ, BRAVO!!!!

There's no question that the Quad Lutz was underrotated. I don't need to see the replay, but you'll see it when it comes up.

Well not a perfect effort from Mroz, but he can rest easy that he was the first man -- for sure -- to land the quad lutz in international competition.

ETA: His tech was lower than Menshov, but that could be because of the lack of a 3-3 and low level of spins. That lutz looked rotated to me in replay, but we'll see...

Is there something in the ice? What is with these freak falls?!

ETA: Hate to say it, but it looks like Tomas' evil twin showed up today...

I would put Verner second to last or even last, you can tell that Brandon's landing of the 4L spooked him out, knowing he too had to be perfect. Jmho.
