Nothing really happened to Brezina, he must have lost his focus on some of the jumps. He presented the program really well despite the mistakes and didn't let them affect his performance.

I didn't realise there was a live feed until today :( but I managed to catch all the free programs.

Here it goes.

The GOE marks are mine and not the judges.

Sorry if there are any errors but this was all typed up as I was watching it, didn't have the access to slo-mo and protocols aren't available so I wasn't able to check against them.

2012 Three Nationals – Ziggy’s Report

Senior Ladies – Free Skating

3. Ivana Reitmayerova /SVK/

1axel [0]
1lutz [0]
2lutz with arm above [1]
flying sit to cannonball – weak positions throughout [-1]
2salchow [0]
2toe [0]
2flip [0]
spirals: front catch – laboured [-1]
2flip/2toe [0]
sideways to layback to catch [0]
straight line step sequence – shallow edges, heavy [-1]
camel coe(weak extension)/sit var/change Y to up(position quite weak) [0]

Heavy, slow skating. Skated through the music. She looked really out of shape.

4. Marcelina Lech /POL/

2axel – overrotated [-2]
salchow – messy pop [no value]
1lutz [0]
2flip – wrap [-1]
camel to upward catch/sit(slow)/change up butt out(slow) [-1]
popped axel [no value]
1flip/1toe/2toe(weak landing) [-1]
1loop – wild [-1]
layback to catch [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
flying sit to pancake/change sit broken leg(quite slow) [-1]
spirals: back owen / front catch [0]

Decent expression but she was totally all over the place, her movement was not very controlled. It all looked messy.

5. Krystyna Klimczak /POL/

3toe/2toe [1]
3salchow – hand down, step out [-3]
1axel into 2axel(turnout) [-2]
spirals: back Y – good position [1]
3toe [0]
flying sit to tuck var – weak landing, rotation could be faster [0]
2flip [0]
2axel [0]
2flip/2toe/1toe [0]
camel/sit/up/change sit holding foot – a little slow [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
into flying camel to catch(weak position) – slow [-1]

Skated through the music, lack of interpretation. Poor posture, she looked very stiff.

6. Agata Kryger /POL/
Forrest Gump (soundtrack) by Adam Silvestri

flying sit var to pancake(too high) to tuck var – quite good positions and rotation speed [1]
3toe/2toe/2toe [0]
[feed froze for a moment but it looked like she fell on a 3flip attempt]
Y(a little shaky at end)/change layback catch [-1]
3toe [0]
spiral moves to 2axel – fall [-3]
camel/sit holding foot/up /change camel(slow)/sit leg behind/up butt out [0]
2flip [0]
three-turns to 2loop/2toe [0]
spiral moves to 2axel – on the same spot and also a fall [-3]
straight line step sequence – slow [-1]
spirals: front split to spread eagle to back Y [0]

Decent basic skating and speed throughout. Posture needs work. Spins were better than usual, although they remain her weak point. The program could use more relation to the music.

7. Klara Svetlikova /CZE/

3salchow – step out, very low, possibly underrotated [-3]
2axel/2toe – pretty much from a standstill [-1]
flying sit broken leg to tuck var [0]
2flip – a little wild in the air [-1]
2lutz/2toe [0]
camel to upward catch/change sit var(skidded)/up [-1]
2loop/2toe/2toe – very telegraphed [-1]
back spiral to 2axel – fall [-3]
spirals: back catch [0]
flying camel to donut/up/change sit cannoball(weak) [-1]
circular step sequence – weak [-1]
2flip [0]

Quite slow.

8. Erika Vitekova /SVK/
Schindler’s List (soundtrack)

3salchow - fall [-3]
3toe – fall [-3]
flying sit to side twist to pancake(slow) [0]
2lutz/2toe(a little stutter on the landing) [0]
2axel – overrotated [-2]
sideways to layback to catch to bielmann [0]
straight line step sequence – slow [-1]
spirals: back catch [0]
2flip/2toe(landing a little weak) [0]
2axel/2toe(weak landing, turnout) [-1]
a stumble skating forward
2something [0]
camel to donut/jump to sit broken leg(slow, weak position)/up [-1]

Decent posture and lines, for this standard of skating. The program flowed together quite well.

9. Eliska Brezinova /CZE/

3salchow/2toe [0]
2flip/2toe [0]
2axel – over the toe on the landing, hand and foot down [-2]
flying sit var to tuck var – good positions [1]
2loop [0]
1toe – wild in the air [-1]
3salchow – off-axis in the air, a very painful fall [-3]
1axel/2toe [0]
spirals: front Y – good position but slow [-1]
flying camel coe to donut – good rotation speed and positions [1]
straight line step sequence [0]
camel/intermediate pancake/change layback – good rotation speed [1]

Quite slow and totally skated through the music.

Good spins.

10. Aneta Michałek /POL/

3salchow [0]
3flip – wrap, fall [-3]
3toe [0]
1axel – weak, telegraphed [-1]
flying sit cannonball [0]
2toe – a little weak [0]
3salchow – fall [-3]
spirals: back held owen [0]
camel/sit broken leg/up – weak positions, a little slow [-1]
circular step sequence [1]
2toe/2toe [0]
flying camel/sit/up/change camel/sit/L – a little weak, especially the camels [0]

Decent speed throughout but a poor posture (her back was very stiff) and a lack of interpretation.

11. Alexandra Kamieniecki /POL/

3lutz – step out with hand down [-3]
3flip – underrotated, step out with hands down (near fall) [-3]
3toe/2toe with arm above [0]
2axel – solid, nice extension on the landing [1]
camel/sit/change up butt out [1]
3toe – secure, nice landing position [1]
3salchow – a little off-axis in the air, turnout with toe-pick touching down [-2]
spirals: front catch(weak extension) / back basic [0]
to 3salchow/2toe with arm above – not much flow out [0]
flying sit broken leg [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
layback to sideways [0]

Loads of improvement since last season.

Quite busy choreography with a lot of upper body movement (even if most of it was “walk like an Egyptian” arm movements ;)), improved spins.

Until very recently, she used to underrotate her jumps a lot but this time, to the naked eye at least, all the jumps were rotated other than the flip.

12. Monika Simancikova /SVK/

2axel [1]
3flip [0]
flying camel/sit/change up butt out – unexpected entry right off connecting elements, decent positions and rotation speed [0]
3toe – fall [-3]
3salchow – underrotated over a quarter, fall [-3]
3toe/2toe [0]
camel to var/change camel coe/sit tuck var/up – well extended positions [1]
straight line step sequence [0]
spirals: front basic [0]
3salchow/2toe [0]
2flip/2toe/2toe [0]
sideways to layback catch to bielmann – very good positions [1]

Good lines. She was using her upper body quite a lot throughout but she really needs to work on her performance skills and project more to the judges and the audience because all the basics are there. She just needs to sell her programs more. Choreography could be stronger too.

She has very good positions on the spins, really well extended. Especially her camel, you very rarely see camel positions as good as this.

13. Alexandra Kunova /SVK/

3flip – looked underrotated and two-footed [-3]
3toe/2toe [0]
3toe [0]
camel to catch/change sit/up butt out – rotation speed not bad but the positions were weak [0]
spirals: back Y / front catch [0]
3salchow/2toe [0]
sideways to layback to catch – very poor extension [-1]
3salchow [0]
2axel/2toe – poor flow out [-1]
flying sit cannonball to tuck var – a little slow [-1]
straight line step sequence – quite shallow edges, heavy, laboured footwork [-1]
2axel – right at the end of the program and landed after the music finished [0]

She’s a competent jumper but her jumps, even though mostly completed cleanly, didn’t have much flow in or out.

She totally skated through the music. There was a slight variation in her movement between the slow and fast music parts but she was skating with her arms hanging down and a stiff, immobile back throughout.

14. Nicole Rajicova /SVK/

3lutz – step out with hand down [-3]
3toe(hand down)/2toe(foot down) [-2]
camel to upward catch/up/change sit broken leg [1]
3salchow/2toe/2loop [0]
to flying sit var to tuck var [1]
3toe [0]
2salchow/2toe [0]
spirals: front catch / back Y – positions could have been better extended [0]
circular step sequence [0]
2axel [0]
1axel [0]
flying camel/sit/intermediate var/change up butt out [1]

In stark contrast to Kunova, she showed good lines and used her whole body throughout the program. Very elegant and her movement was really fluid. Good spins too.

Where has she been hiding? This is the first time I became aware of her (and I check all the competition results that are available).

Senior Ice Dance – Free Dance

1. Gabriela Kubova / Dmitry Kiselev /CZE/
Be Italian

pair combination spin – good positions and rotation speed [2]
difficult take-off into sit straight line lift [0]
diagonal step sequence – decent flow [0]
circular step sequence [0]
twizzles: arm above and catch into clockwise arms behind – first set was quite fast and solid but they were a little off-synch and travelled on the second set [0]
spread eagle double curve lift [1]
catchfoot rotational lift

The gap in their abilities is still very much visible, he’s a clearly superior skater. And not I’m not talking just about the quality of skating. Compared to him, she seems very stiff too.

This was decently skated with no major errors but the program could have used more expression and more originality in the choreography.

2. Karolina Prochazkova / Michal Ceska /CZE/

twizzles: catch(off-synch) into clockwise arms above [-1]
kneel straight line lift [-1]
straight line step sequence [0]
pair spin combination – slow [-1]
circular step sequence [0]
one arm rotational lift – weak, quite slow rotation and didn’t cover much ice [-1]
curve sit lift with her in layback – quite slow [-1]
both fell on a transitional rotational lift right at the end of the program

Much more interesting choreography and much better expression than Kubova/Kiselev but the technical elements weren’t as good.

A really fun, entertaining program.

3. Natalia Kaliszek / Michał Kaliszek /POL/
Allegria from Cirque du Soleil

straight line sit lift with her in layback into a nice split exit [1]
twizzles: arm above and catch into clockwise into clockwise – off-synch on all the twizzles [-2]
diagonal step sequence – a little weak [-1]
pair combination spin – quite good positions, rotation speed could be faster [0]
rotational lift with her wrapped around his torso – very fast and secure [2]
to circular step sequence [0]
spread eagle curve lift with her upside down into a spiral exit [0]
transitional one arm rotational lift

They aren’t in the same league as the other teams here, but given they’ve only been training Ice Dance for about a year now, it’s incredible how much they’ve already managed to achieve.

It was nice how well the lifts were integrated with the rest of the program.

They need to work on their expression and selling their programs better.

4. Lucie Mysliveckova / Neil Brown /CZE/
Christina Aguilera / Feeling Good by Michael Buble / Show Me How You Burlesque by Christina Aguilera

one foot curve lift with her on his shoulder [0]
diagonal step sequence [0]
straight line lift lift – very good positions, secure throughout [2]
circular step sequence – a bit of a struggle, they need to spend more time together to polish it [-1]
one arm rotational lift [0]
pair combination spin [0]
twizzles: arm above and catch into clockwise arms folded in front into clockwise arms behind – all hers were very slow and weak [-2]
laboured transitional lift

They are a new team and it was apparent throughout that they need to spend more time training together to become better synchronised and gel as a team. It all looked a bit like a constant struggle.

Technically, he’s not a bad skater (you can see Hagenauer and Zazoui’s hand) but sadly he’s not as expressive as Lucie (or as Matej was). But then you hardly see skaters as over-the-top as they are. ;)

5. Alexandra Zvorygina / Maciej Bernadowski /POL/

one foot curve lift with her in catchfoot [0]
circular step sequence [0]
twizzles: arm above and catch(hers weak, he did one more turn than her) into clockwise arms folded in front(both slow and weak) [-2]
straight line sit lift – a little slow [0]
diagonal step sequence [0]
pair spin combination [0]
one arm rotational lift – secure but didn’t cover much ice [0]
transitional spread eagle curve lift with changes of position

Decent basic skating, and twizzles aside, they did alright on the elements. But the program lacked expression and the choreography seemed quite generic.

6. Federica Testa / Lukáš Csölley /SVK/

diagonal step sequence [1]
twizzles: arm above and catch(good) into clockwise arms behind (his was weak and he stepped out) into third twizzle (she travelled, almost skated into him and needed to put her foot down) [-2]
rotational lift with change of position [1]
pair combination spin – nice positions, decent rotation speed
curve lift [1]
one arm rotational lift [1]
circular step sequence [1]
transitional spread eagle curve lift

They were very elegant, showed good expression and the program flowed together really well. Definitely the strongest performance, PCS-wise.

They are also quite a new team but they’ve already gelled really well and make a much better impression than Visnova/Csölley did.

Senior Pairs – Free Skating

1. Aleksandra Malinkiewicz / Sebastian Lofek /POL/

dance lift to 2twist [0]
throw 2loop – high and solid [1]
3salchow – hers was severely underrotated and two-footed [-3]
spirals: front basic & shoot the duck [1]
back catchfoot spiral into bids – weak position [-1]
roll-up entry into hand-to-hand lift to change of position – weak [-1]
throw 2lutz – telegraphed [-1]
camel/up/change camel/sit to pancake(slightly off-synch)/up leg to the side [-1]
2loop(her landing weak with turnout) into 1loop [-1]
axel lasso to one hand – a little weak [0]
pull-through to toe lasso to one hand hold and dismount [0]
weak transitional dance lift
pair combination spin – slow, barely completed the last position and had to put a foot down at the end [-2]

Totally skated through the music.

2. Magdalena Jaskółka / Piotr Snopek /POL/

dance lift to 2twist [0]
throw 2loop – quite low, landing a little shaky [-1]
2lutz(his very wild) into 2toe [-1]
toe lasso to one hand hold and dismount – two-footed [-1]
camel/up/change sit var(off-synch)/intermediate var/up(off-synch) [-1]
spirals: back basic and back owen (her leg on his) – extension quite weak [0]
toe lasso to one hand hold and dismount – very slow and weak, two-footed [-2]
throw 2lutz [0]
2flip [0]
star lift to one hand and rotation in both directions [0]
spread eagle and back catchfoot spiral into bids [0]
to pair combination spin – nice, unexpected entry and decent rotation speed but a little stutter changing feet [0]

Choreography had some in character movements but they’ve also really lacked expression and didn’t sell the program at all.

3. Alexandra Herbrikova / Rudy Halmaert /CZE/

throw 2loop – good distance covered, very solid [1]
steps towards 2twist [0]
spread eagle entry to star lift to one hand [0]
2axel – he singled, she turned out [-3]
flying camel/sit/up var/change sit var(off-synch) [-1]
some posing that looked very random and messy
L spiral into bids – nice position [1]
step lasso to one hand hold and dismount [0]
2loop/2toe(he stepped out) [-1]
throw 3salchow – she stepped out with hand down [-3]
spirals: front basic / back owen – extension could be better [0]
reversed hand to hand lift [0]
pair combination spin in both directions [0]

Alexandra finally managed to find a very tall partner (she’s quite big for pair skating) but there is a lot of work ahead of them on the elements. The program looked quite messy (like they’ve got it choreographed it quite recently).

4. Magdalena Klatka / Radosław Chruściński /POL/
Umbrellas of Cherbourg

dance lift to 2twist with arm above [1]
throw 2flip – quite high [1]
toe lasso to one hand to change of position and carry to one foot to dance lift dismount [1]
throw 2loop [0]
2flip(she put foot down)/2toe(only he executed it) [-3]
sbs change foot combination spin [0]
spread eagle into axel lasso to one hand hold and dismount [1]
spirals: front basic [0]
2flip – telegraphed [-1]
step lasso to one hand hold and dismount [0]
back catchfoot spiral into bods with change of hold and pivot variation [0]
to pair combination spin [1]

The strongest team in the field by far. Their non jump elements are very strong and they’ve skated much better than earlier in the season (I’ve seen them live at JGP Gdansk and they’ve struggled with some of the pair elements there).

However, they really lack expression and just skated through the music. Their basics aren’t bad and if only they’ve sold the program better, it would have made a big difference.

Another thing that is worrying is that it’s their third season competing internationally and they still aren’t attempting a sbs 2axel or any throw triples.

Senior Men – Free Skating

Jakub Štróbl has withdrawn due to injury.

1. Jiri Vasicek /CZE/
Man in the Iron Mask (soundtrack) by Nick Glennie-Smith

three-turns to 3loop/2toe [0]
2lutz [0]
3lutz/2toe – landings not very strong [0]
sit to side twist/change sit broken leg – quite good rotation speed [1]
circular step sequence [0]
3salchow – overrotated [-2]
3loop – fall [-3] (he had it, really silly loss of focus)
3toe – two-footed, turnout [-3]
2axel – a little off-axis in the air [0]
3salchow/2toe/2loop [0]
camel wrong edge/sit/up butt out/change camel to donut/sit/up [0]
chor circular step sequence – not sure he completed a full circle [0]
to flying sit to tuck var [0]

He was quite expressive and his basics aren’t too bad.

2. Marco Zakouril /CZE/

2lutz – overrotated [-2]
3loop – step out with hand down [-3]
3toe – landing quite weak with no flow out [-1]
2salchow – wild [-1]
sit arms behind/change sit side twist [0]
1axel – wild, turnout [-2]
2something – fall [-3]
2salchow [0]
camel/up L/change sit broken leg [0]
straight line step sequence – quite slow [-1]
1axel – foot down, turnout [-2]
flying sit cannonball to tuck var [0]
chor circular step sequence [0]

Not his day. His movement was really awkward throughout.

3. Lukasz Pazdro /POL/

3lip/2toe – hardy any flow out [-2]
1lutz [0]
flying camel [0]
3lip – hands down [-3]
2loop – wild, overrotated [-3]
3loop – hand down, step out [-3]
2axel [0]
2axel [0]
sit/jump to sit/change sit cannonball [0]
straight line step sequence – quick footwork, lots of expression [2]
3toe – hands down, turn out [-3]
camel(slow)/sit/up/change camel(weak)/sit broken leg/up – weak positions, slow, some minor telegraphing [-2]
chor circular step sequence [0]
(he achieved Senior program length by playing the first part of his music again at the end :p)

The straight line steps showed that he can really attack a program and be expressive, if he tries. Shame that none of it was showing elsewhere. The program lacked projection and character.

All over the place on the jumps. That’s what you get when you listen to your psycho skating dad instead of your coach. :p

4. Miroslav Dvorak /CZE/

3lutz – very painful fall [-3]
3flip [0]
three-turns to 3loop – two-footed, turnout [-3]
camel/sit cannonball/up/change sit broken leg – positions not very strong [0]
3salchow/2toe [0]
camel/change camel to upward catch – quite slow [-1]
2axel/2toe/2loop [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
3toe – hand down [-1]
2axel [0]
chor circular step sequence [1]
3toe(landing not very strong)/2toe [0]
flying sit to cannonball to tuck var [0]

Fun interpretation on the chor steps but pretty much skated through the music elsewhere. Hardly any transitions.

5. Edwin Siwkowski /POL/

2axel/turn/3toe [-2]
three-turns into 3loop – heavily underrotated [-2]
2flip [0]
2axel – turnout [-1]
flying sit to tuck var [0]
3salchow [0]
straight line step sequence – a little slow [0]
3salchow/2toe/2toe(landing quite weak) [0]
sit cannonball/change sit/jump to sit [0]
2loop [0]
camel/sit side twist/change sit/intermediate var/up [0]
3toe/2toe [1]
chor circular step sequence [0]

Quite voidy and expressive as always but he can do better. I feel that this program doesn’t play to his strengths.

Very poor posture though, he was really hunched.

6. Kamil Białas /POL/

3salchow – high, overrotated [-2] (quad attempt)
3lutz(good)/2toe – slight hesitation before the toe-loop [0]
2axel/3toe(landed forwards, step out with hand down) [-3]
3loop – landing quite weak [0]
stumbled skating forward
3salchow/2toe – not much flow out [0]
2axel – off-axis, overrotated [-3]
sit holding foot/change sit side twist [0]
circular step sequence [0]
2loop [0]
1lutz [0]
scratch butterfly to flying camel to catch – landing a little shaky, position not great [-1]
chor straight line step sequence – fast footwork [1]
camel/jump to sit var to tuck var/up [0]

He seemed very nervous, his movement was very erratic and messy. His basics aren’t bad and he’s capable of presenting his programs really well but not this time.

7. Taras Rajec /SVK/
Conquiscador by Maxime Rodriguez

3lip [-1]
3lutz [0]
3salchow [0]
3toe/2toe – not much flow out [0]
sit to cannonball/change sit to side twist [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
camel/sit/up/change camel/sit/up var [0]
2axel [0]
2axel [1]
chor straight line step sequence [0]
2lutz [0]
flying camel [0]

His movement was appropriately staccato to the music but the choreography was quite generic. Poor posture.

Unless I missed something (and I don’t think so because I was very focused throughout his performance), he did only seven jumping passes.

8. Sebastian Iwasaki /POL/

three-turns into 2flip [0]
3lutz – messy turnout [-1]
2axel [0]
3salchow/2toe [0]
flying sit side twist/up holding foot/change camel(weak)/intermediate var [0]
three-turns to 3loop/2toe(weak landing with a hop) [-1]
3toe/2toe [0]
straight line step sequence – decent flow [0]
transitions to 3loop – turnout, foot down [-2]
3toe – turnout with foot down [-2]
sit cannonball/change sit tuck var(good position and rotation speed) [1]
chor circular step sequence [0]
camel coe/jump to change sit/up cross-foot [1]

Very elegant as usual, he has a really balletic style of skating. Quite good flow throughout.

What is lacking though is stronger expression. Given his quite good basics, if only he sold the program better, he would make a great impression.

9. Kamil Dymowski /POL/

3toe – high but landing a little weak [0]
3salchow [1]
3loop – telegraphed, underrotated, fall [-3]
flying camel to donut [0]
1lutz – wild pop [0]
3salchow/2toe – not much flow out [0]
2axel [0]
camel/jump to sit/intermediate var [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
2axel/turn/2toe(foot down) [-2]
3toe/2toe(weak landing) [-1]
chor circular step sequence [0]
sit/jump to sit broken leg/change sit side twist [0]

Skated to the music quite well but his basic skating isn’t very strong. He could use more speed and flow (having said that, he’s still a Junior skater).

He’s clearly lost weight since the start of the season (he looked totally out of shape at JGP Gdansk).

10. Tomas Verner /CZE/

4toe – high and solid [1]
3flip [1]
3axel – foot down coming out [-1]
circular step sequence – good but a little wobble at one point [1]
flying upright leg to the side to cross-foot [0]
3axel – overrotated [-2]
3loop [1]
3lip/2toe [-1]
3toe [0]
3salchow/2toe/2loop [1]
sit to cannonball/change sit – quite good positions and rotation speed [1]
chor straight line step sequence [1]
camel/jump to change sit tuck var/up [1]

Very good basic skating, a lot of speed and very good flow over the ice. Playful, in character movement throughout. An all round great performance with all the technical elements (save the mistakes on the axels) as well as the PCS abilities being very strong.

11. Patryk Myzyk /POL/
Safri Duo

2axel – slightly over the toe on the landing [0]
1lutz – big pop [0]
3toe – high but landing could be stronger [0]
circular step sequence [0]
to camel/jump to sit/butt out [0]
2lip – strong outside edge [-2]
2toe/2toe [0]
2salchow [0]
camel coe/change camel [0]
2lutz [0]
2axel – landed forwards on two-feet, overrotated [-3]
chor straight line step sequence – good speed and expression [1]
flying sit cannonball [1]

Good speed, his basic skating is quite strong and decent expression, at least in parts.

Unfortunately, he’s prone to bombing and that’s what has happened yet again. :(

12. Petr Coufal /CZE/

3lutz [0]
3lip [-1]
3loop/2toe [0]
2axel [0]
flying sit to tuck var [1]
straight line step sequence [0]
sit to leg behind/change sit [0]
3salchow/2toe [0]
3loop [0]
2axel/2toe/2loop [0]
3salchow [1]
camel/sit broken leg/change sit/up cross-foot [1]
chor circular step sequence [1]

A great performance for him but the choreography was quite generic and he didn’t show much expression.

13. Maciej Cieplucha /POL/

2axel – quite high but landing a little scratchy [0]
3lutz/3toe(cheated) [-1]
3lip – good but off a slightly outside edge [-1]
2salchow [0]
sit coe/change sit broken leg [1]
straight line step sequence [0]
3loop/2toe [0]
3lutz/2toe/2loop [0]
3loop [0]
flying sit side twist [1]
chor circular step sequence [1]
2axel [0]
to camel/up L/change sit cannonball/up [1]

He can be very expressive and voidy, it’s a shame the program didn’t bring that out more. It had quite a few places where not much happened. Quite good spins.

It’s been around a year and a half since he moved to Canada to work with Scott Davis and the results are finally showing. He’s much more consistent on the jumps and is having the best season of his career so far. :)

14. Michal Brezina /CZE/
Untouchables (soundtrack)

3axel – high and solid [1]
3flip/3toe(landed it, then fell) [-2]
4salchow – fall [-3]
flying sit to cannonball to tuck var – a little slow [0]
circular step sequence [1]
3axel – slightly underrotated, fall [-3]
3flip [1]
1loop – step out [-2]
3lutz [0]
2axel – two-footed, overrotated [-3]
camel/sit holding foot coe to pancake/change camel/sit leg behind/up [0]
chor straight line step sequence – good but he started it way into the long axis and didn’t cover the whole length of the rink so I would give it no value [1]
sit side twist/change sit broken leg [0]

The numerous mistakes on the jumps didn’t affect the program at all. He skated with good speed and presented and sold it very well. And when he was on, he was really on.

15. Pavel Kaska /CZE/

2axel/3toe [0]
3lutz – step out with hands down [-3]
1flip [-1]
3loop – fall [-3]
straight line step sequence [0]
flying sit cannonball to tuck var [0]
3lutz/2toe [1]
3toe – landed but then turned out with foot down [-2]
2axel [0]
3salchow/2toe/2toe(weak landing) [0]
camel to upward/sit side twist/change sit/up butt out [0]
sit arms behind/change sit broken leg(quite slow) [0]

Decent basics. He was quite expressive but he is capable of better. It felt like the choreography wasn’t really playing to this strengths.

Nicole Rajic/ova skates at Icehouse, New Jersey. Won Eastern Sectionals in November and qualified for US Nationals as Junior Lady. Was on her way to 2011/2012 US Nationals. Only 15? I guess she chose to skate for Slovakia instead. Loss for USFSA, Gain for SLK

Thanks a lot for the info. That explains why I haven't seen her compete anywhere before.

She must be at least 15 because otherwise she wouldn't be able to compete at Slovakian Nationals.

Between Simancikova, Rajicova and Kunova, Slovakia has their strongest Ladies team ever. Good for them! :)
