I was so missing the CD's that I just watched the novices on icenetwork. The two dances were a Leveled Argentine Tango and a Leveled Starlight Waltz.

Miller (age 13) & MacMillan (age 14) are a very young team from the Washington Skating clubs, and won the Eastern Sectionals. They train at Alexander Kiliakov's Wheaton Skating Academy in Maryland.

This year, the teams could pick there own music for the Argentine CD, which was rather a shock. Perhaps if this change had been made earlier, the CD's could have been saved, because they were a lot more pleasant to watch with a variety of music.

The novice dance competition will conclude with the Free Dance, scheduled for tomorrow (1:30 pm, Jan. 23)

I enjoyed watching the Novice CDs too. My favorites were Hannah Rosinski/Jacob Jaffe and little Chloe Rose Lewis/Logan Bye. Such great presence and a real sense of partnership in these two young teams.

So great to see so many strong US teams in ice dance.

I am so excited that the novice dance gold medalists, Holly Moore and Daniel Klaber, come from the rink I skated at in middle school! I actually had ice time with both of them! Very exciting! The bronze medalists in novice dance also come from my home club!!
