Two ways to look for the hot Men:

1. By Personal Best; and

2. By date of achieving the PB to give an idea of progression. The more recent the date the higher the chances of equaling or surpassing the PB.

This should be more relevant after the 4CC so I will adjust them later.

If I may say so, your title is a bit misleading. : ) I was contemplating the difference between handsome men and hot men....

Most disappointing thread of all time.

Not for Plushenko fans. :) They better enjoy his Hottest Man status. Chan or Takahashi with a new PB at 4CC could knock him off that perch. Abbott and Rippon need PB equal to Plushenko's to be on top if Chan and takahashi don't surpass their own PB.

an example of language/cultural difference again.

I too was thinking who is hotter than say just handsome.

So i vote for Plush as the hottest skater to melt the ice

You really need to understand that 99% of plushenko fans have seen this movie like 100 times, been there and for many many years, it is not about if he has season best anymore, if he is unbeatable or if he is first or if Chan beats him, because it is old news, there was an era that Plushenko had the top 7 season Cop scores out of ten and we didnt care either then.
But these Euros win was the personal triumph of an athlete that did something for me impossible regardless if there are 5-10 skaters better than him and younger than him by ten years right now. I never thought that because his international score is better than Chan's right now, that means he is actually better than Chan. No.
Judging by crowd in England who were not all die hard fans of one skater, sometimes it doesnt matter who is actually the best.

I was thinking of you when I read the results of Euros, Seniorita. You must have been floating somewhere near the ceiling of the arena. You were so smart to get yourself there on the off-chance that something amazing might happen. It did! Yeah, I'd say that makes Plushy smoking, sizzling hot.

Thanx! I had arranged euros before Plush skated to Russian Nationals tbh, but yes that was a great treat because in practices he looked iffy, I ve never seen him skating so happy and the arena having so much energy, I prefer him with no quad, if he skates so more free than 2009-10 season, plus it erased all my bad memories of vancouver :p Caronina and P/B was a bonus as well, only bad thing was not seeing S/S!

All stars have their die hard fans in whose hearts they will always live, and some have accomplishments forever on record books. And then you have the upstarts who may be a one hit wonder or rising to the greatest heights yet unreached. My system here is akin to charting pop stars, whose most recent hit movies or songs count a great deal to their hotness next to their greatest hits. Apparently, having a current greatest hit is hotter than a huge hit long ago which is now a classic. This is about who's the hottest, not necessarily the greatest.

My selections are from currently competing Seniors with high PB. Suguri on the Ladies list stays with her high PB as long as she competes. Plushenko, about the same Granny age as Suguri, accomplished the amazing feat of recording a near-the-top PB just now. That

I will update this after 4CC but everything will be wiped clean for Worlds which will be this season's ultimate Hot List. Sorry, Plushenko and Oda will come back on the list next season.
