Seems Ryuju Hino of Japan and Nam Nguyen of Canada had a good free skate so far.

Zamboni time...then twelve boys to go.
Go Shoma!!!

Hino with TES over 70 wow! Nice rebound from the SP, that total should pull him up into the top 10 most likely. Good for Nguyen too, he's so cute.

Cutie patootie Shoma skates 1st in the next group! Cannot believe he is 14! Hope he brings the same pizazz he had in the SP :).

Seems another great skates from a Japanese and Canadian boy; Keiji Tanaka and Liam Firus!
Good for them!

Onto the Final flight.
Good luck, everyone! May the best one win!

Han Yan scored a total of 222.45
that's gonna be hard to beat,

Farris behind by half a point. Top 2 both over 220 , when was the last time we saw scores that high at JW? Slash have we ever? If Farris had done a 3 jump combo he would have beaten Yan! So happy for him regardless, a 13 point increase over his previous PB, the poster who said he was training super hard after Nationals wasn't kidding. PCS over 70 for both. I think those two are ready for the GP. Can't wait to see videos. Nervous to see if Brown can overtake Ten for bronze.

Han Yan was of course a prodigy
but I underestimated Farris, I always see his skating as too balletic and lacking power
Brown should take bronze here easily

Joshua Farris and Han Yan got the exact same PCS (71.20)! Yan matches his previous SB ranking (13th) but Farris moves into 15th (behind Rippon, ahead of Miner). Should Abbott and Rippon not earn those three spots at senior worlds, next year's US Nationals is gonna be a bloodbath

I see a complete package from Yan, solid quality on all aspects - technical, performance, and that cool champion vibe. Farris is balanced technically and artistically too but needs more personality. Brown is too much upper body and arm movements for me and needs technical improvement to compete with top Men in his age group including Yan, Farris, and Hanyu.

Congratulations to Han Yan,Joshua Farris, and Jason Brown!
