After the mini sensation with the youtuve clips of her triple triples, I finally got to see Grace on TV on the TT coverage. I haven't got this excited about 'new comers' for a while! And I loved how she wasn't satisfied at all with her TT LP showing, despite having skated a beautiful program. How exciting!!

As always, I will take a wait-and-see approach on her. I hope posters are right about her, but I've just seen far too many hyped to the hilt, then chewed and spit out. Nevertheless, a consistent Gold in the mix next season would only be a great thing. And hopefully Wagner can keep up the pace as well. And if CZhang can get back to where she was...she's a strong competitor and she'll be right in the mix as well. Alyssa Who?

Well i hope Gracie realizes that she's about to hit the big time and she needs big time coaches and choreographers.

Two words for you - Linda Leaver. No one had ever heard of her before she coached Brian Boitano and everyone told Brian he needed to leave Linda Leaver to become "big time". It didn't happen, Linda remained his head coach (while searching for the proper places and people to get Brian proper feedback, choreography, and so on to work as part of the team) throughout his career. I believe as long as Alex O and Scott B are open to finding the right feedback and other team members to help Gracie achieve her goals, then there is no reason to leave them. You think she should go to Frank Carroll just because he's a big name? Pshah!

No but if that SP was the best Scott B can do Gracie deserves much better than that.

Over at FSUniverse, some posters are commenting that they don't like Gracie's bow at the end of her programs.

Last season (2011), Scott Brown was nominated for the U.S. Figure Skating/Professional Skaters Association's Paul McGrath Choreographer of the Year Award ("Given to the choreographer that best exemplifies the dedication to artistic excellence portrayed by Paul McGrath in his career") along with Lori Nichol, Cindy Stuart, Marina Zoueva (she won), Igor Shpilband, and Josh Babb (synchro).

I agree with the poster who mentioned Linda Leaver. If a coach is open to letting the student train with another specialist, they can remain the primary coach. To improve Brian's figures, Linda had Brian train with Jean Christophe Simond's coach, who was a school figures specialist.

I know Gracie has stated that her goal is to do senior GP's, and then do Jr. Worlds. What if she qualifies to Sr. Worlds? Would she then go, like Richard Dornbush did two years ago?

Where did she say she wanted to do junior worlds again? As far as I know, she's diving all in for seniors next year. She doesn't have much to gain doing Junior Worlds again.

Yeah at this point it seems like Jr Worlds could only do harm. If she wins nobody really cares because it isn't usually indicative of success as a senior. If she fails to win twice I think it could affect the judges perception of her as a senior.

Her goal was Junior Worlds in 2012. She was driving to that. I think beyond the SGP and competing Nationally as a Senior, she is open.

Well JW isn't necessarily bad. But if she ends up in the top 2, she should definitely go to Big Worlds.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how Adelina and Elizaveta handle next season, in that regard.
