Nice piece. And explains why he asked Alex where he was born. :)

Also I'm glad he brought up another point:

I feel like Powers was determined to put as many dance puns in there as possible.

He is very patriotic, well we all love The place where were born and rise, he loves all Boston teams just because Boston , and I love his confidence when speak about their talent, I cant wait for watch them on friday :yay:

And Mr. P , you are in The arena?, any update about their practice, I just see a picture in Twitter of them in practice.

Has been a while since I've been able to catch up with figure skating. Maia and Alex are such gracious young people and positive role models. This news was heartwarming to see.

Maia and Alex were chosen as the newest Athlete Ambassadors for RIGHT TO PLAY.

Twitter: @RightToPlayIntl:
"Welcome to #RTPNation @AlexShibutani & @MaiaShibutani! So proud you've joined our incredible team of #AthleteAmbassadors!"

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED included a photo of Maia and Alex together in the Olympic Preview edition magazine.
The Sports Illustrate.com online side includes videos highlighting each of them individually. Unsurprisingly, they feature their fun-loving and approachable personalities.

Michael Buble's tweet captured his enthusiasm for Maia and Alex's use of his music for their Olympic Short Dance.

MICHAEL BUBLE was excited to watch Maia and Alex skate to his medley of songs for their Olympic Short dance.

Twitter: "I feel like I won the gold tonight @MaiaShibutani & @AlexShibutani used my music! #honored #shibutani #ShibSibs @USFigureSkating #Sochi2014"

In addition to Tweeting, he posted a link to his Facebook page including a link to a video of their performance provided by a fan (from Russian television I believe).

Maia and Alex exchanged tweets with Buble, and the media stories followed:

I think they did great at this worlds, especially their MJ program, now, it is time to think about new programs and new coach if Marina is adopting to I/K :disapp:, they should to come back with Igor. This was a great season , regardless of those stupid scores

Eta. And they confirm to stay competing http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2014/03/29/70411480 :yay:

Yay! I'm glad to hear that. They are young and have a good foundation. I think they can really develop in the next four years.

I'm so glad to hear that! P&B have verified they are retiring, V&M as well, probably D&W, although they have left themselves with an out to reincarnate  I would not be surprised if C&L, upon thinking it over, decide to retire with Euro Gold & World Gold. Luca is 29. And the I&K split looks like it may be real. With all that room at the top, S&S appear to have a future!

And it doesn't hurt that with C&B, they helped secure 3 spots for next year.
