According to Wikipedia (I know, not always the most reliable source), by definition "malaguena" also refers to a woman from Malaga, a port city in Spain. One of the retired parent helpers in my school is originally from Mexico, and she explained this meaning of Malaguena several times, so I knew there was validity to it. She is also familiar with the music.
