On unofficial info - Samarin did not fly to Zagreb. So he withdrawn.
Is place lost or will be substitution - I don't know.

he has been replaced by Lazukin ? so Alexander will go instead to JGP Germany :)
very wise decision, who are his competitors in Germany ? only Shoma and Kovtun , Alexander can even win gold

Shortly: Mishin told that Elizaveta TUKTAMYSHEVA may not take place in Skate Canada (26.10.2012 - 28.10.2012) because of puberty problems and injuries of back (backbone?) and knee.
Now the final decision (will she take place in Skate Canada or not) is not accepted yet.

It will be a shame if she is unable to compete at Skate Canada. However, Mishin is doing the right thing in terms of being cautious. She should not compete until she is fully ready.

Does anybody know if Lipnitskaya is still competing in the Finlandia Trophy?

I was really looking forward to Tuk, Gracie and Osmond going head to head at Skate Canada. Well one thing is for sure the puberty monster is making it tough for another Russian skater. That's why all the excitement for Tuk last year and Lipnitskaia was perhaps premature. Once these girls start growing would they still be able to jump like they did when they were 4'10 and weighed 70 lbs?

Puberty can be a pain excuse the expression. Sad for Tuk; I am not surprised. The door is wide open for Yuna. Who is the top Russian. Looks like Tuk slipped down the ladder. Polinas are inconsistent. Adelina has her problems with confidence. Lipnskaya is unknown at this point. Leonova is not well liked by many and too quirky. markova has some dreadful programs and not a full arsenal of jumps. The door is open for Carolina, Yuna, Ashley and the Japanese ladies to dominate leaving Russia with only two ladies next year.

that sounds like a magic crystal ball ? :), remmember when Polina bombed at Worlds and everyone were almost certain Russia would only get 2 spots for next Worlds ? ;), anything can happen, the season hasn't even started, Carolina and Yuna will not be competing until early next year.

Isn't it too early to write Liza off? You sound like she lost all of her jumps and her career is over. She still even can go to Skate Canada, the final decision is not made yet. And even if not, she has time to recover and come back strong for Russian Nationals and then shine at Euros and Worlds. She has excellent technique on her jumps and a very very good coach, she'll be fine

Adelina has her problems with confidence.

Again, isn't it too early to say? The Grand Prix hasn't even started yet, not to mention the most important competitions. Yes, last season Adelina struggled with puberty, but the season before she won every competition she entered. Let's see what she'll show when she is in her best shape

Leonova is not well liked by many and too quirky.

Like it or not, but she is a current World silver medalist.

The door is open for Carolina, Yuna, Ashley and the Japanese ladies to dominate leaving Russia with only two ladies next year.

And why do you think these ladies don't have their own problems? Ashley, even though everyone expected her to medal, lost to "too quirky" Leonova at Worlds. Japanese ladies aren't the most consistent either. We won't see Carolina and Yuna at Grand Prix, so it's too early to make predictions
