If anybody is interested in Russian skaters, I can give information from Russian-language sources about them.

First, about young or not widely known skaters.
Sotnikova, Gachinsky and so - they are known wery well, so I can't add a lot of interesting things.

But there are very good pre-juniors or not so known skaters. I would give information about them.

English is not my native language, so I will try to be understandable, but may be with mistakes.

Here is the list of skaters described in this thread.

System of Russian national competitions

So, first about system of Russian national competitions.

There are Events of Cup of Russia, 5 events from September to early December. Both Jinior & Senior, all four disciplines.
Participants obtain points for places in events (like GP and JGP).
Those who has best sum of points of two events (Senior) - participate in Senior Nationals, who in Junior - in Junior Nationals. Also are concerned results of GP & JGP.
Senior and Junior Nationals are different events, so one skater/pair may participate in both.
In Junior events may participate those who is from 10 years old to maximum Junior age.
In Senior - from 12 years old.
Of course, in Events participate those who has good results of previous season or through qualifying competitions lower level.

So there are Senior Nationals (where form team of European and World Chempionships) and Junior Nationals (for World Junior team).

Also there is Final of Cup of Russia, both Senior & Junior.

Also there is Rissan National (elder age) - for singles of 13-17 years old, pairs 13-19 years old.
There are zonal competitions, best on them participate in National.

There are 'baby Nationals" - Event on Memory of Stanislav Zhuk (famous coach). Shortly called "Zhuk". Only for single skating.
In two age groups - 10 years old & younger (Younger), 11-12 years old (Elder). Shortly called Zhuk-Y and Zhuk-E.
To participate in Zhuk, skater must be one of the best in Zonal Event.
Program for Zhuk is special, close for Zhuk-Y to ISU Advanced Novice, for Zhuk-E to ISU Juniors.

Best 3 boys and 3 girls from Zhuk-Y and best 3 boys and 3 girls from Zhuk-E are delegated to "International CIS and Baltic States Figure Skating Competition, Novices".

"Team Russia" is formed of skaters with best resulis of these national competitions.

About bonuses
Bonus is added to TES for these elements (Senior and Junior Ladies):
4 for 3A,
3 for 3Lz+3 or 3F+3,
2 for other 3+3
1 for 3Lz and 3F in same program.

Bonus for Senior Men:
3 for 4+3 combo
2 for 4 (solo or combo with other jump less than 3)
1 for 3A+3 combo.

Bonus for Junior Men:
4 for 4+3 combo
3 for 4 (solo or combo with other jump less than 3)
2 for 3A+3 combo.
1 for 3A.

Bonuses are entered to encourage to perform difficult elements. They exist at national level events, excluding RusNat and RusYunNat.
Because of bonuses results of qualifiers may be too high and are less compatible with internationals then RusNat and RusYunNat (or local competitions without bonuses).

He is now with Elena Buianova (Vodorezova). By the way, he didn't leave Morozov but was kicked out of the group by Morozov because of bad behavior (drinking, not working hard enough). His old coach decided to stay with Morozov. This info is from his sprashivai.ru page.

ETA: Thanks for starting this thread AlexRus and welcome to the board! If you know who Polina Shelepen went to at CSKA that would be great. On her sprahivai.ru page she said she was kicked out too but wouldn't give a reason except it had nothing to do with Julia

Yes. I have same information about Kovtun and Efremenkov. They were kicked out sumintaneously.
Efremenkov is now with Alla Ivanova, his former coach.

People from 37th School told that Eteri Tutberidze last months was very brutal to Polina. Maybe, Polina solved by herself to go.
It's not good - Polina was one of the first Eteri's skaters, so Eteri trained to be a coach on Polina.

Now Polina is in CSKA, coach Sokolovskaya. Not wery good for Polina.

Thanks for the response and the videos. I hope Shelepen's jumping technique is not affected while she is skating with Sokolovskaya. The students that I have seen, Deeva and formally Ovcharova, jumping technique is not good.

Sotnikova's lutz technique is improving which is good to see!!!

Ulyana is a pleasant enough skater but needs more speed/attack/personality. Gerasimova seems to have those qualities but her head position when she is jumping is distracting

Any news on Polina Korobeinikova?

http://fskating.com/2012/07/polina-korobeynikova-became-master-of-sports.html
She became “Master of Sports of the World Class”, sports title, for result of Euro-2012.
It's very high title, she is 5-th of Russian women skaters, who has this title. Other 4 - Leonova, Makarova, Sotnikova,Tuktamysheva.
This title is given for 1-8 place in Olympics, 1-7 place in Worlds, 1-6 place in Euro, 1-3 place in Grand Prix Event or Final, 1 place in Worlds Junior plus 1-5 place in next Senior National.

No new information about her skating.

I love her, I wonder if she will get tall and lose her jumps?

Korobeynikova is tall now, and she is 16 years old (born 12 apr 1996), so it's not very probable to grow much.
Kostner is even more tall, and her jumps before 22 years old were very good.

Korobeynikova's only problem is stability, if she will be more stable, she will become one of the best in the world.

Because there wasn't any "next Senior National" for her yet. It will be in December 2013, if I got the scheme right.
Planned 24-28 December 2012, Sochi. But it is called "Russian National 2013".

Previous years were the same - nationals were in last dates of December but called "National of next year" (24-28 Dec 2011 was called "2012" and so).

Oh I thought Junior Worlds would be enough.

Do you know Maria Stavitskaya and how she is doing inside Russia? I met her at Mishina's group and thought she was lovely and very musical and expressive, landing all her jumps and then I saw she finished dead last at Nationals. I dont even know how old she is.
