Planned 24-28 December 2012, Sochi. But it is called "Russian National 2013".

Previous years were the same - nationals were in last dates of December but called "National of next year" (24-28 Dec 2011 was called "2012" and so).

Oh my god, of course you are right. I meant 2013 season but made it sound not correct enough.

Maria (Masha) STAVITSKAIA
Born 01 September 1997 (1997 is poor year for Russian female skaters, unlike 1994 - Sofia BIRYUKOVA, 1995 - Polina SHELEPEN, 1996 - Adelina SOTNIKOVA & Elizaveta TUKTAMYSHEVA, 1998 - Julia LIPNITSKAIA, 1999 - Elena RADIONOVA, 2000 - Serafima SAKHANOVICH).
Coach Tatiana Mishina, Oleg Tataurov (St.Petersburg)
First time national level - 2006/07 Zhuk-Y 12th.
Newer was higher than 5th in Zhuk-Y and Zhuk-E. But participated in them, so was good enouth on St.Petersburg level (one of six best for her age).
Season 2011/12 - Nationals(S) - last(18th, 1 fall in SP, 1 fall in FS, underrotated jumps), Nationals(J) - 10th. Best score 162.46 (Spartakiade of Youth, 2nd Place Junior), other scores of season 130.72 - 156.61 (Junior, Senior).

Lands 6 triples in FS. Wrong Edge in 3Lz (often). 3T+3T, 3Lz+3T (not stable). Spins 3 level, sometimes 4 or 2. StSq 3 level.

She is "second level star". But not less than second. Member of "Team Russia" 2011/12 & 2012/13.

Nice girl (maybe, they all are very nice for me).

Thanks! And what about the boys? They are not so excellent?

Yes. Male skating now is problem for Russia. We all know Evgeni PLUSHENKO and Artur GACHINSKI. Good skating shows Konstantin MENSHOV (29 years old).
But there are no Junior Men with really world level of skating.

I'l post info about Russian JGP events male skaters. But it is not so interesting for me, their level is less than Junior Ladies, not all of whom will have JGP event (or pre-Junior of comparable level). You see, STAVITSKAIA, TITUSHKINA, GERASIMOVA ("2nd value stars") can obtain place not less than 3rd on JGP Events, if skate good. And "stars of 2nd level" - not only these three. Also there are "stars of First level", not only RADIONOVA.

Hey, you can give her to us if you don't want her! We don't have ANY LADY who can land 6 triples in FS. I am sure we will forgive her the wrong edge in 3Lz even if it happens often! :)
"Second level star"???? We would welcome her with open arms and she would be THE STAR! (Please, just mention to her that the UK is getting a bit desperate to get someone who can skate.)

We love her. We want her. She is for two seasons member of "Team Russia".
We don't have ANY LADY who can land 6 triples in FS.
Different countries - different situation.
Julia ANTIPOVA, who landed 7 triples (2 underrotated), 3T+3T, 2A+3T, TES in SP 30.68 FS 49,25 (it's enough for technical minimum for Worlds) was gone to Pairs, because of "no chance" in Ladies.

In USA situation is similar - good Ladies have little chance for Internationals because there are better Ladies.

I know. That's why I think they should change country. I would prefer if it was like in tennis - you watch the best in the world, not the best from most countries... If some countries have 5 great ones, I wouldn't mind all those five being sent to worlds instead of skaters from other counties who are not as good, rather than maximum 3 and then watching skating of someone not as good only because that person was born in a different country. But that's my personal opinion.

And if you think how many first level stars wont make it to International competitions and Sochi..Between Sotnikova, Elisaveta, Julia L, Leonova, (Makarova?), Shelepen, Polina K., and then some less accomplished like Biryukova, Agafanova, Ovcharova and Deeva only 3 will take part :(

I like Kovtun from upcoming men, at least last year he looked great.

Does anyone know whether Russia released Iliushechkina to compete for France or are they still waiting?

No they havent and I doubt they will before Sochi, I believe they will after, but Lubov is happy where she is now and is willing to wait as much as is needed.

Yes, I'm more interested in the boys than the girls. Kovtun, Efrimenkov, and Kolyada should be the ones fighting for the two Worlds Junior spots. None are consistent and I don't see what others see in Kovtun, I lean towards the other two and the Pitkeev, and the boys Mishina coaches. They seem to all have an interesting, non-Plushenko style.

In Mishina team there are two boys who are indeed not Plushenko clones but I didnt know they are age eligible for competition. I m not sure I know their names too, but I ll search YT, someone had posted videos from the camp gala.
And I also saw Tarasenko who was hyped some years ago but isnt going anywhere I guess..

This is pertaining to pairs - Does anyone know whether Russia released Iliushechkina to compete for France or are they still waiting?
Waiting as far I know.

Iliushechkina made scandal, lied about "very bad conditions" (in fact, conditions were as for other skaters of comparable level, i.e. normal for Russia) and so on.
So federation is'nt benevolent to her.
