I really hope to watch Leonova's and Makarova's programs in ladies(see if they can stand the level of the young girls), in pairs Kavaguti-Smirnov (can they challenge V/T?) and Ryazanova-Tkachenko (the results of working with Shpilband)! If anyone goes, please film the programs!! And, generally, I hope to watch videos soon!

here is Makarova's LP: she lost weight ! ( new brunette hair )

Besides, Sotnikova will skate LP tomorrow, according to her twitter. Plushenko, V/T and Gachinski will perform only 15 and 16 (http://www.team-russia2014.ru/article/5009.html). Ilinykh/Katsalapov will miss open test skating due to Elena's shoulder injury (http://www.team-russia2014.ru/article/5025.html). Maybe Tuktamisheva and Lipnitskaya too

Julia will not do test skates, on her sparshavai she said you will see her first programs when she competes in Finland
also I don't think Elizaveta will be there, she was off the ice for max 2 weeks to heal a minor ligament injury and just started training again in the first week of september

I can not guarantee first place to Miyahara.

I don't think, that Makarova looks like Leonova.

I like Korobeynikova's skating!!!

I didn't like Leonova... I hope she changes all those meaningless transitions, they really look Morozov's style (but I don't think he is the choreographer, because in the interview he said he did only her SP, maybe Alena choreographed it herself  what I mean is, she didn't gave her money away for this ******** program, right?). I couldn't understand Makarova... was it an EX program? A SP-FS mix? Korobeneykova didn't land a triple, is she injured, was she focusing just on the choreography? Kavaguti-Smirnov... it can be good, it just needs refinement and practice...

I really hate test skates; some of these programs really don't make sense.

Kavaguti and Smirnov just dumped their short and made up a new one. Why on God's green earth they picked a song they just used at the Olympics (and various galas) I will never know! But it's still very new and according to this Smirnov just had knee surgery this summer. They still have nine weeks until the Cup of China so they should be able to work out the kinks. They still have the best sbs spins in the world!

Martiusheva/Rogonov don't seem any better and S/K seem like better skaters but the skills haven't improved.

I think you were watching Biryukova's video not Korobeynikova
I also surprisingly liked Makarova's, I also love Stolbova/Klimov's

also Martiusheva/Rogonov progarms have potential
Im still waiting for Ilinykh/Katsalapov

I think neither Biryukova nor Korobeinikova landed much triples, both are not in shape yet. Volchkova has a 6-month old baby, that could be the reason they are not as ready as they could be. But also, their GP events are only in about 2 months, so there is still time. These test skates are probably too early for them. Shershak, who is in the same group looks much better but she had to be ready for JGP.

From what I've seen so far, the programs that appelead to me the most were:
-Stolbova & Klimov
-Stepanova & Bukin
-Pushkash & Guerreiro
-Bobrova & Soloviev - SD

I am a bit worried for Bobrova & Soloviev. The FD started nicely and the idea was interesting. It looked modern and different from anything they've done before. But then the music changed to Tosca and the Edvin Marton playing (a piece of music already famoulsy used by Plushenko) and I got a bit lost trying to understand the connection between the 1st and the 2nd part of the program. Off course that there's still time to improve things and the program will grow as the season progresses but it still got me puzzled.

Monko & Khaliavin - Lovely look for the SD. The 1st song they skated to is really nice. Not sure why one of their lifts was so similiar to one used by Bobrova & Soloviev. They will have their debut at the senior grand prix so I was expecting them to try to set themselves apart and not to have elements that look so much alike as their training mates.

Sinitsina & Zhiganshin - Nice program with potential. My favorite thing in their FD were the lifts. Not to sure about the theme choice. For two seasons in a row they are using the same sort of theme as used before by Davis & White.

Starigyna & Volobuiev - Easily my favorites in what concerns entertainment.

Menshov - the SP to Pina suits him. It had a voidy touch to it that I really liked.

Makarova - Lovely choreography and she is artistically maturing in a beautiful way. I just wonder if she has had any improvements in her jumps.

For what I've seen in Ice Dancing:
-great program by Riazanova-Tkachenko! Working with Shpilband has paid off wonderfully, I really liked their step sequences, they really improved them, and the whole program suits them very well, this time Tarasova chose something really good for them! I think that (with a good SD) they can challenge I/K and B/S...
-really liked Sinitsina-Zhiganshin and Monko-Khaliavin: good musical choices, the technical elements need some refinement; M/K's step sequence was really good, I didn't like their YP, it seemed a bit rough.
-I didn't like Pushkas-Guerreiro, tehcnically: the program looks really too difficult for them, especially the second step sequence and the lifts, they always pause to concentrate before doing one of them...
-Bobrova-soloviev... It's difficult to say, because there is so much in this new program... But, finally, something new and unexpected from them! Some of you were concerned about the music? I love it! But it's difficult to understand, it's so dark and strange... Technically, they've improved a lot, new lifts, new transitions and, what I hoped more, new dresses! I think this can be great, it just needs to be clearere, the judges won't understand it immediatly I think...
And, about ladies, I forgot to write that I really like Korobeneykova's choreography, it has really interesting arm movements, it looks more mature and it suits her in a fantastic way!

.

this isn't the same tango D/W used though, but I feel , this is exactly what Kustarova/Aleexa wants to do with Sinitina/Zhiganshin to be like a mini Davis/White , they are talented but they have their own style.
