I'm very surprised at the Hasagawa's score.

Frankly, they did not impress me at summer comptetitions this year

Haven't watched them yet.

A bit surprised the French aren't leading considering they were 5th at Worlds, they must have new SD/FD
also Z/S are coached by Zhulin, should be interesting if they have both new SD/FD

:laugh: OK ,I guess it slipped by me, but for the key points..I know what Y's and N's are.. but what are the T's ? ..Tsk-Tsk ?..something to do with timing ?

That aside...I'm very happy for EP ( though they had a couple of slight bobbles )and I thought they should have been marked a bit higher relative to the Hasegawas.( and maybe not quite as much as 6points back from the top 2 , I'm not sure )..P/C can be a bit wild , but I love them. I like Z/S , too..liked how smoooth their blues seemed , but not quite as fond of the jive/ swing? part.. Still , really happy with the top 3.

I really liked Edvokimova and Bazin..( more young promise )..and I was kind of surprised they weren't placed above the Hasegawas..

I was a bit apprehensive about the 2 young Zombies , Quinn and Carpenter, before they skated..but now, I'm sold on their potential. They tickled my fancy , but then , I'm a Shaun of the Dead fan ,when I normally can leave Zombies well alone..:biggrin:

This is the first year that McNamara & Carpenter are eligible for the JGP, so it's not surprising that they have the curse of "juniorish" keeping their PCS down...but they've been hugely entertaining the last 2 years at US Nationals in Juniors.

I just :love:ed them in Greensboro.

Lorraine feels left out! :p

Also, I agree with doris. They've been pretty awesome for a while. Actually, even with the PCS issue, they're still in striking distance of bronze! And Lorraine is the youngest girl there by about 1.5ish years!

colleen, I presume this is what you're referring to (from C&P's protocols):
2 2BL3+kpNYY 6.00 0.00 0 0 0 0 1 0 -1 6.00
3 1BL1+kpTTT

To get the level, you must both do the skill correctly, and must do it on the correct beat.

kp = key points
T = off time

Consequently on the second blues sequence, they only got level 1 because all 3 key points were off the beat.

:laugh::laugh: Poor baby Lorraine ! Bad, bad me !.. I knew something was wrong there, but I was in a hurry to walk by dogs..(I knew it was an Irish name ) Darn these kids with their 2 last name names, anyway..(Quinn Carpenter, Asher Hill , Graeme Gordon, or is it Gordon Graham ?..etc., etc..)

Here's to Lorraine McNamara ,one of my 2012 adoptees !

It's great that both Canadian couples are in the last flight, and I can't help wondering if the Hasegawas have switched to matching costumes for the free dance. It's the Canadian way.
