Chris was a wonderful, dedicated public servant who made a difference as he worked to make the world a better place.

He will be missed but not forgotten.

Thanks so much for posting this. He sounds like a true hero. Many Libyans have expressed sorrow, too, because those who had anything to do with him know he tried to help them. He seems to embody what the diplomatic corps of all countries should be dedicated to. We were lucky to have him, and it will be an honor to mourn him.

Our world has too few heroes in it. Chris Stevens was a real hero.

My mother didn't know it at the time, but she's since found out that she knew his family - his grandfather was her civics teacher in high school... it's been doubly sad since finding out as she LOVED his gpa and parents...
