NOTE: Skaters are shown in start # order. The marks shown are what I wrote down as they were announced – there could be mistakes. The ordinals are what my program has calculated, again, there could be mistakes. The placement sometimes will be the official placements (if Skate Canada gets the results out quick enough) or might be what I managed to get down in the second or two that they flashed it on the board. <G> Anyway, it’s better than nothing J

I’m not perfect on the jumps – sometimes I miss a takeoff, so feel free to make any corrections or ask questions

Notes black with bit of sparkle on shoulders / 3z 2ft bit under rot / gorgeous flying cam with wonderful pos / 3a rot landed back on blade fell out / 2f think it was only 2 / cam ch cam was too slow & he had a bit of trouble centering both front & back / lovely spread eagles & spiral in S pattern / 3a skiddy takeoff under rot just a bit 2foot / 3l just landed / 3t / death drop with great fly /think I just missed some ftwrk / 2s / combo spin trouble centering front & back sit pos were really good & fast

Notes black with orange sequins on one side & sleeve / must be superstitious - when he got on the ice he purt his guards on the ice dead centere at the end - they're still there / 3a 2ft turnout 2t / 3l just hung on / 2s but don't think that's what it was supposed to be / nice cam to donut / spread eagle into 3z step out / strt ftwrk goes well with music / all his jump landings have the same ackward look to them today - don't think this is normal / 3s tight landing / chor to slow section / 3a noticable 2ft / cam ch cam to unique spin pos / 3t / death drop with nice fly / O ftwrk is quite complicated & goes with music but a bit slow / 3f bit forward on landing / combo spin to end is excellent

Notes white with pink & black lattice work around waist / 4t hand down 2t / 1a / 3l step out / 1z flutz though unless it was the flip / now we're into slow & sassy I like this section of the program / 1a / 3a turnout 3t / neat spin into one foot ftwrk right infront of me / 3f / 3s / strt ftwrk is great / combo spin ending in headless into illusion spin to back scratch / kind of a blah skate there was a definite lack of energy /

This might give you an idea – his bio says that his ambition at Canadians this year is to land his 3 axel and to ‘leave the audience in stiches’

Thanks so much for the notes.....Doesn't look like either one of the men's qualifiers was spectacular - the expected names came out on top. Hope they were deliberately holding back so they could give their best to the SP and LP. I'm really looking forward to seeing the guys later in the week. I wonder if, since we're back to the 6.0 system for this competition, Jeff will try that quad? Sandhu will.....
