@Sandpiper - Yaicks! I love dragons! I'll be terribly upset come the third Hobbit movie... I'm now upset with Mr Mishin for using the death of a dragon to his evil advantage!:scowl:

As for the other - well, that's easy, you're the cheetah "handler" remember? If they want your cheetah (and you've obviously convinced them that a cheetah - and specifically your cheetah - is, indeed, not only ideal but absolutely essential to them!) they obviously get you as well - thus providing for the both of you. Business and pleasure combined. Frankly, I see no flaw in this plan.

I like the animation of the Vancouver performance too.

I'm green with envy of those kids in the master class. Cannot wait for the videos of the Beppu shows and the tv presentation of Together on Ice. Is it still uncertain if Plushy is doing Dreams on Ice as well?

Those lucky kids!

All animations are cool, but the best is the one Gallavich linked to. It's so... illustrative of his journey (with some inaccuracies on the podium part.

). Unfortunate for Yagudin and Stephane though, appearing in those infamous outfits. :laugh:

(Also, cameos from Yana, Edvin, and Artur).

Lol, looks like we weren't the first ones to think up the "Plush forced to train with TAT" scenario.

Vancouver SP animation is so beautifully drawn, but the use of Tosca is weird. The step sequences don't fit (Tosca is faster/more frantic), and some of the timing is just a little off. (Not to mention, I much prefer Aranjuez over Tosca, even though I suspect I'm one of three people).

Hopefully, if he's not doing Dreams on Ice, it's because he decided to do the sensible thing for once--get a break. I really hope it's not because his body is sending negative signals again...

Ah, okay. I convince the production crew to import a cheetah, and convince them I'm a capable handler? At this point, I'm better off trying to make it as a scriptwriter so I can write big cats into everything. :biggrin:

My Yagudin! I can't! That banana costume was my nightmare. But through anime it was so fun.
Japanese fans are so creative and talented. I hope Plushy and Mishin have the chance to watch this one. So cute! :popcorn:

@Sandpiper - What's stopping you from doing both?

And don't fret. I'm sure Plushy is taking it easy, and being sensible. And I know how unnatrual that sounds, but... hey... I'm sure his recklessness has been vastly exaggerated.

Note/Disclaimer: I don't think he's actually reckless - I think he always knows what he is doing. And he won't push himself if he doesn't think it's worth it. And when he does, I'm sure he is always prepared to pay the piper, if necessary.

Bahaha, I'll be honest, as horrific as One Banana was, I think Stephane's Red Cat was more baffling. I mean, how one earth did he come up with that program? :scratch: (But unlike Banana, it was at least creatively bad. Meow).

Oh yeah, during one of the animations, when there was a label "Plushenko and his new quad" (referring to his quad bike), I immediately thought, "Hmm, is he going to try quad loop?"

(Also, forgot to mention it earlier... but that interview... did he just decide to watch porn 'cause the interviewer suggested it?)

I think Stephane was 16 when he did that. When Plushy was 16, he was lying on the ice flapping his "wings" as Crazy Bird.

I think all skaters are entitled to have at least one program that's completely bonkers...especially when they're young. "One Banana" was just a trainwreck, though. :eek:

Plushy tweeted a pic of himself playing golf. Doesn't he have two ice shows to do today? I get so confused with the time difference in Japan. I was also hoping he had penciled in some time to go hot-spring bathing with Yuzuru.

I need more cute pics and gifs of them bonding! Plus it's supposed to be so great for aches and pains...maybe they'll go after the shows?

For all my ragging on him wearing black 24/7, I must say, I actually prefer the black Storm outfit over the blue one.

Crazy Bird isn't in the same "league" as Red Cat. Not even close. I mean... Meeeeeeooooow! How on earth did he think of that? Crazy Bird is just "cute kid with quirky program." I can show it to someone and expect some mild chuckles. But when I showed someone Red Cat, I got a lot of :scratch: :jaw:

(I have never showed a non-skating fan One Banana, and probably never will, because I'd feel like I personally betrayed Yagudin or something).

I agree One Banana is worse than Red Cat. At least Red Cat is so weird it can't be judged as good or bad--there's no standards to compare it against. We can say Stephane is truly Beyond Good and Evil.

The music from the Red Cat program is a piece by Rossini called "Cat's Duet," which seems to be a fairly popular humorous opera piece (I know very little about opera apart from the music used by skaters, so I'm just going by what Wiki says, lol). I guess his choreographer or someone else in his team thought it would make a cute exhibition program. Maybe Stephane just had a leftover Halloween or Carnivale costume he wanted to use.

I agree that his black costume looks better, but yes, Plush, please add color to your future costumes. One of my favorites was his Godfather costume with the pop of red. :love:

Red suits him well (as long as it's not head-to-toe...like the Red Cat :laugh:

Yes. I also get tired of the black costumes. I liked this simple costume on Volvo Cup. He looks like a man on the ice no doubt.
