Zijun has great potential and is a well rounded skater. I wish her to overcome the puberty monster and grow in both artistry and technical aspect further. She could land on the world podium if everything lines up nicely. So lovely.
i discovered zijun after watching her 2013 worlds performance and i fell in love with her skating. she has this ethereal presence on the ice that made me excited about the future of senior ladies figure skating for the first time since i found out all the old faves are leaving the competitive skating sphere. she has a lot to improve on but she already has a great foundation.
i hope she treats herself well for next season. health first!! then skating. yay zijun 加油!!

Zijun came first in the competition in Harbin this past weekend. Nan Song beat Boyang Jin in male category. No Han Yan though. Anyone got the info?

Unfortunately I don't have any info but Zijun looks pretty solid here despite feeling unwell. I hope she comes back next season with stronger programs in order to compete against the Russians, her jumps look pretty good! I think she can handle pushing another element to the second half under the 10 percent bonus provided by the system at least for her short program. She looked so tired on the free program and soo many underrotations and wrong edges

I am optimistic for Zijun this year, she seems to have regained a positive fun attitude training with the Chinese team in Canada right now.
There are some hilarious clip from her Instagram, doing some fun pairs/ice dance excercise. She was seen in the performance class improvising 'house of flying palms' with her team mate to Shostakovich Piano Trio and Lori Nichols seen burst out laughing bend over

Good choice of music. Nice to see her skating to something more mature than usual. Well...she is almost as tall as Han Yan.

thanks xiangfuzi! Zijun's jumps are getting better and better! They are a bit low at this moment but she's getting her rotations back
about Zijun stay in the same genre. basically 3 ballet music in a row, last 2 LPs and this SP, and she is always wearing pink. I am okay with that. first she was really in a difficult time at OG season, so that LP is basically the same stuff as her "sleeping beauty". this season she is coming back, her new SP is really more difficult technically, as I mentioned above. and choreo is also more sophisticated, in subtle ways, it is challenging for her, Also, her dance actually improved, there is more polish in her movements.
but not much of PCS improvement...
And I LOVE her wearing pink. and hands down the most beautiful dress in this competition.
Can't wait to see her improvement in the LP tonight.
Zijun said herself that she need more power in SP. so she knows what direction she needs to improve.
I hope when she is ready, she will get some choreo that is "all that".
It is great to see that she is coming back from last season.
