Akiko Suzuki came from second place to win the Ladies competition and landed seven triple jumps. Some landings were tight, but she held on and also picked up a level four for all three spins and the footwork to score 199.58 points overall. ”I was happy I was able to skate like this at the end of the season. This performance really came from my heart only. Because I was skating this program for the last time, I didn’t care if I would faint in the choreostep or not, but I just put all my energy into the program”, Suzuki said.
Congratulations to Akiko Suzuki - 2 time World Team Trophy Ladies Champion! Superb performance. You are truly one of the best and most musical skaters ever! What a great way to bounce back from Worlds! Congratulations for your new personal best score 199.58 (and new personal best free skate score 133.02)! So well-deserved! What a great way to end the season! Love you Akiko!

Does anyone have a link to an image of Akiko's banner towel version 2? This is what the first version looks like. I've seen the second version before, but I've since forgotten it.
What a lovely title for a thread. I hope someone associated with Akiko sees your thread and reports to Akiko, because I'm sure she would be touched to know what an impact she has on fans. The nice thing is that her fans are not just in Japan--she reaches people all over the world (including me, definitely). That's got to be meaningful for a skater.
