LSp - perhaps not enough rot. in Biellman

Solid skate, but small combos, perhaps due to prerotation

Popova has some lovely qualities, her posture, edge work and hands are worthy of top 6 but she is the epitome of a skater with a team stuck in the past. If this was 1994 she'd be figting for the bronze with Lavrenchuk/Liashenko and Markova, but unfortunately they sport now requires transitions :/

It's frustrating to see someone with obvious talent not showing their true potential. I'm not sure when she moved to Petrenko but I'm hoping he is not responsible for that dated program that doesn't give her a chance.

Danse Macabre for Norway gal...

Reminds me of a VERY poor man's Yukina Ota... similar neatness in the arms and straigtness in the back which is impressive.

Jumps are tiny with very little running edge, hops, ur's and or's galore but neat skating. She'd make a good pair IMO

Honestly, compared to previous years the skating skills of the ladies in the first group are so much better. I remember when the scratching and posture were so poor. Having said that, whilst the likes of Vassilieva/Luca and Padar were certainly lacking in SS, they had voids galore. Hopefully find a void or two tonight!

I'm trying to watch the Latvian stream but it is freezing like crazy. Anybody got another free, working stream? I can get around geoblocks in many locations.

Simanchikova on ice now, Slovakian ladies have been good in the past with Reitmeyorova and Babiakova and Simanchikova may well be their best yet.

Dodgy 2 axel to start though, good height but lean on landing.
Huge flip but two foot and stepout
3 toe/2toe/2loop
Lovely loop (2ft?)
3 sal/2toe solid
3 toe (hesitant)
3 salchow (again fine, but self doubt)

Seriously, if this gal had some good old fashioned American confidence and panache she'd be super (along with a few transitions and ch that wasn't stolen from Diana Poth circa 1998)

I noticed if you try to get into the stream between groups, it doesn't work, then it works after the first skater starts skating.
