Yes, I really like these words from Tarasova's book too. Not about his fans, but about his habit to socialise with many people. I'd say it is not cute for me. For me it is a reason to respect him.

My Czech friend found the translation of this Tarasova's book at AYDG, but I didn't compare it with the Russian text, that is why I didn't post the links.

He deserves love. "He can be lyrical, can be tragical, can be an awesome hooligan" - and not only that. He worked hard with Tarasova. Did you notice, that Tarasova said: "Sometimes when we create a program, we can skate almost all night long here", "as long as I want to"? And I also think his SP is fantastically energetic even on this video.

I also like how he smiles, when Tarasova shouts at him. Some people write: "How can Tarasova shout at Kovtun?!" (or something like that). I remember Yagudin's smile and... I don't get what's the issue. That is what I love.

Somebody tries to explain Yagudin, that he shouldn't play with Piggie and give prizes now, that he should say something about the Olympics: "Alexei, you know, IOC offends Russia...", "don't play the fool". Yagudin has already answered: "even without me there are many people who talk now )))" Another his follower suggests, that the athletes should come to the Olympics with Saint George's ribbons (the symbol of victory): "Alexei HELP!!! TELL ABOUT MY IDEA!!!" People say to this follower: "Write to Piggie. He has been working on TV for many years, he is powerful, he will help for sure."

Thank you, Rina, for those information. By the way, I'm planning to visit Moscow or St. Petersburg next winter, and to see Yagudin's performance in Averbukh's play, and also to see ISU GP Rostelecom Cup 2018. May I ask you when we would know their schedule for next year, like two months ahead the play, probably? It's painful to get a Russia tourism visa considering my nationality, you have no idea how long it will takes. :palmf:

I wish you good luck! I'll be happy to help.

I think they will have New Year shows for children. A year ago Yagudin was in Moscow with "The Nutcracker" (December 28 - January 7), this year he is going to be in Petersburg with "The Nutcracker" (December 27 - January 8). If Yagudin will have a new show for the next year, we can expect him to be in Moscow.

As for other shows in winter... it is hard to predict the shedule, but other shows are possible. For example, soon they are going to skate in Mytishi (it is a small town near Moscow, almost in Moscow). One performance: December 16. (the info about this show was posted on his forum on October 16)

And a funny exposition in Petersburg. The texts were promising, that on the first floor people would be able to see materials from the archives belonging to Tamara Moskvina and Alexei Mishin, on the second floor they would see the history of their students: Alexei Urmanov, Alexei Yagudin, Artur Gachinski, Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze, Oxana Kazakova and Artur Dmitriev, Yuko Kavaguti and Alexander Smirnov. It was said, that Mishin and Moskvina had 2 Olympic champions in men single skating and 4 Olympic champions in pairs.
It was interesting to know who were those "2 Olympic champions" and which of Yagudin's costumes they were going to show as a "legendary" one (in this context)...

Thanks again for the sharing. And I'm also happy to see Yagudin and Mishin are still have some connection with each other, it's nice. It's odd we don't see Plushenko's staff in the exhibition though. I thought he was Mishin's favorite. By the way, I'm very looking forward to Mishin building a museum or library of his life time works with documents, photos and videos, you know, which would contain of a lot of little Yagudin. I would love to visit it!

Yeah, I noticed it too. Lyosha has a high sense both on emoji and humor, not with the category of fashion though. :palmf:

I'm not sure about his obsession of colour caramel this fall. By the way, I have checked some vids of "The Nutcracker and mouse king" on the Internet and was suprised by Loysha's 3-2 jump, I didn't know he still keeping the condition so well. I'm really happy for him. :yahoo:

A question for the knowledgeable Yagudin fans here: at 1999 nationals where he skated Lawrence of Arabia and many believe he should have won over Plushenko, I've seen clips from the k&c where Yagudin is throwing gifts onto the floor because he's so angry/sad and Tarasova is scolding him. I've only ever seen tiny clips of this, never the whole video, and it's not in any of the performance videos I can find on youtube. Long shot, but does anyone know where this clip is from? I'm 99.999% sure it was nationals. (Not asking to bash, I love Yagudin, I'm just curious to see it.)

Side note: I'm always amazed by the jumps he's still doing, too! Especially the 2A.

I don't know that video, though I was looking too for some other answers because of the things which arguing fans tell each other again and again. As for such videos... I don't worry.

I didn't say before... Tanya Totmyanina has broken her leg, when they were performing in Petersburg for the first time. Yana Khokhlova agreed to replace her.

alexei.yagudin: Unfortunately, sportive life is often connected with injuries! I am a fantastical optimist, so I think, that the life just gave @tatianatotmyanina time to have a rest! Thank you, @ykhokhlova, that you have learned all the theatrical in one night and saved the situation! Thank you all for words of encouragement for @tatianatotmyanina Right now my beloved has the surgery, but I'm assured (and no other variants) everything will be wonderful!!!! @tatianatotmyanina, get the treatment, recover and return to the best ice team @averbukhofficial!!!!!
