Osmond and her coach have mentioned on numerous occasions that the goal is top 10. All this chat about her medalling and high PCS is not in their plans at all. I think 4CC was a tough competition for her. But I think she will learn from it. For her the biggest accomplishment is controlling the energy she will feel at worlds and putting it out there.

sky fly really is sticking out one's neck; I just don't see it though. I have no idea unless sky fly is trying to jinx Osmond. Something seems amiss. So illogical to assume such extraordinnary marks. Might as well predict Ka nd S will win gold which is probably more possible than Osmond medalling.

totally incomparable,
Osmond is just coming into the senior ranks and getting impression from the judges already
while K/S have passed their prime and have been dumped, K/S will never sit on a World Podium ever again
their PCS at Euros were even lower than B/H and J/C

Judges at 4CC were none too impressed by Kaetlyn Osmond.

obviously the judges would favor the Asian and Japanese skaters being held in Japan
Worlds will be on home ice on Omsond's soil
I said this at 4CC , Osmond would be disadvantaged but come by Worlds her PCS will skyrocket again

Gao and Gold are AMERICAN skaters and both outscored Osmond at 4CC.

No, I don't get your premise that a Senior newbie like Osmond is suddenly elevated to the status of a World or Olympic Champion despite never managing to skate a clean FS internationally, just because she is skating at Worlds in Canada.

Yes, 4CC was held in Japan. However, Worlds isn't a competition that judges can give new skaters 70 for their FS PCS just because it's being held in their home country.

For example, Mao, at her senior debut Worlds(which was held in her home country), received 63.49 for her PCS. Osmond isn't much better than 2007 Worlds Mao. I doubt she's going to receive 70.

Prior to Worlds 2007 (where she won silver), Mao had been the 2004-2005 JGPF Champion, 2005 JW Champion, 2005-2006 GPF Champion, 2006 JW Silver medalist, and 2006-2007 GPF silver medalist. IMO, Osmond isn't in any way better than 2007 Worlds Mao; Kaetlyn isn't going into Worlds 2013 with anywhere near the accomplishments of the 2007 Mao.

And Mao in 2007 skated one of her best programs ever, with seven triples (one DG), 3A and 3-3, who says that Osmond will be 100% clean? The only time that she skated her Carmen without major mistakes was at SC Challenge, a national competition!

There have been posts alleging sky_fly20 is an Osmond hater, and may be attempting to jinx Kaetlyn with over-the-top home-ice advantage hype. I have not noticed sky_fly20 attempting to deny these allegations. If Kaetlyn out-scores any of the favorites, it is obvious the ensuing posts will complain heavily of home ice advantage as the main cause (regardless of how badly a favorite may skate, or how good Kaetlyn may have performed). That appears to be how the stage is being set. If the allegations are true, nothing anyone posts here will reverse sky_fly20's intentions. Everyone is attempting to convince someone who does not want to be convinced, and only playing into the game.

If HOME ICE grants such an tremendous advantage, then I guess there will be no complaints when Russia fills the podiums in Sochi. :rolleye:

my last response here if some think Im borderline trolling

, do I have anything to prove ?
its not really news home ice will be an advantage, remember Gachinski's fluke bronze medal last 2011 ?
at SC Osmond had huge advantage and who thinks this will not happen come Worlds ?? 4CC was totally different
Osmond was not on her zone, probably ill preparation and a some nerves not on home ice couple with the eastern advantage spooked her.

she can skate clean on home ice or near clean like SC
and when she does she will have enormous inflation, why wont this be possible it has already happened before ?

just as how I much want D/W to win but he venue will prevent them V/M have it in the bag no matter how they will skate

This is a gut feeling but I do feel sky fly is sort of creating a jinx on Canada for whatever reason. Most people when suggesting home inflation which there may be some or simply the phsiology of the situation - skate better with fans cheering you on with home town advantage. But not to the extent sky fly is suggesting. D and W have dominated V/M all year so far. Enormous inflation - maybe we are playing semantics????

There's a line from Torch Song Trilogy that comes in handy for situations like this (and I'm going to be paraphrasing here--it's been a while since I saw it): I've got enough problems dealing with the "What Nows" to worry about the "What Ifs."

Just sayin'...

jinxing would mean saying Canada will take all the top podium which won happen anyways
to say Jinxing as Chan is home cooked for Worlds which this time also not likely to happen
his pcs cushion has been leveled and of course there is my amazing Hanyu, Fernandez, Takahashi, Amodio, Aaron even Reynolds if he lands his 3 quads can compete with Chan.
I am being realistic can V/M win - yes, Can Osmond podium - yes

My Prediction as always is of course My Prince takes the Gold
