Thats was a very impressive skate from T/M, hopefully they can hold it together in the long programme, plenty of seniors would be happy with that level of performance. I wonder will they give an pass to junior worlds for D/D or will it be the top 3 here who get selected? It's a pretty deep field. Seems like a sizeable and supportive crowd.

I agree T/M improved alot the end of this season, their twists have gotten bigger

on interview Gorshkov only mentioned about Stepanova/Bukin getting a pass for Junior Worlds
I don't think Davankova/Deputat will be given the same priviledge
they have struggled a bit this season and Davankova injured her leg again

more likely it will be Tarasova/Morozov, Fedorova/Miroshkin and Vigalova/Zakroev
the arena had many crowds it is an open competition for audience and press

A really focused, composed performance from Tarasova/Morozov.

Very strong and high 2twist with delay, solid 2axels, huge throw 3salchow. Sbs spins were really off-synch but all other elements were strong. They had good flow throughout as well. I just wish they showed more expression.

Great to see so many people in the audience. :)

wonder who the 3rd Russian pair will go to Junior Worlds

Davankova/Deputat are out with her injury
but Vigalova/Zakroev have better scored internationally ( JGPF bronze) than Gaintedinova/Bich
will they skip G/B and let V/Z go to junior worlds

But junior worlds are in a month. That might be plenty of time to heal the injury.

Davankova/Deputat havent been given a pass to go to junior worlds
I think they are out of contention for the 3rd pair to go

I don't think that's that much difference between the teams. I'd just go by Nationals results and send Gainetdinova/Bich. If they start landing those 3lutzes consistently, they'll really make a mark.

I wish the top 4 here, plus Davankova/Deputat could all go. They all deserve to be there.

And we have no decent pair (either junior or senior)! I really wish the championships were according to skaters results, rather than limiting per country! It is such a shame that some of them won't get their chance!

I was going to ask what happened to Vasilisa Davankova - Andrei Deputat. Glad it is just an injury not a break up. I don't follow junior pairs very much if at all but they really blew me away at Russian Junior Nationals last year.

Watching the videos - this was a very well skated competition! All the teams would really deserve to be at Junior Worlds. That said, they are all more or less evenly matched, so I would go with the results of Junior nationals in terms of JW assignments. With any of the 5 teams they pick, Russia could potentially sweep the podium.

Does anyone know anything about the pairs team Chernyavskaya/Souza-Kordeiru? I think the guy is not from Russia.
