I am writing a short story about recreational ice skating at Winterhurst (now Serpentini) Ice Rink in the 1960s. The rink is located in Lakewood, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. I have been unable to find information or a picture of a women's recreational skate that was a hybrid. It had a figure skating boot, with speed laces at the top, but a hockey blade. They may have been called Brownies, their color, and might have been made for rentals. They were available for sale at Geiger's Sporting Goods in Lakewood. I haven't lived in Lakewood for the past 40 years, so I do not have a source there for my question. I called CCM this morning, and someone there found a picture of what i was describing but could not find a name or manufacturing date for it. At this point in time, I am still waiting for the picture. Almost all the women at that time used them, but sometime during the rise of women's hockey, the ladies started using women's hockey skates. Can anyone help?

Thanks!
