Disclaimer: The GOE values listed next to the elements are the ones, I'd award if I was a judge, to give you a general impression of how well it was executed. I try to describe each of the elements but there's not always time to be as detailed as I would like and those numbers can sometimes say a thousand words. So if you see positive GOE, it means an element was executed to a high standard (and yes, I am generally being very nitpicky ).

Any questions, comments, criticisms and discussion are very welcome.

1. Brooklee HAN /AUS/
Ave Maria by Caccini

3loop [0] – decent height but not a lot of flow out
3toe/2toe [0]
2axel [1] – solid, short entry with some preceding arm movements
3toe [0] – just about made the rotation
layback with speed increase to catch to biellmann [1] – good rotation speed
3salchow [-2] – step out
2axel/2toe [0]
flying sit(camel pos in air) to pancake/up Y [1] – well extended positions
circular step sequence [1] – good expression
3salchow/2toe [-1] – poor flow out
choreographic sequence: front spirals / split jump [0]
camel to donut/change sit/up butt out/sit tuck [1] – good flow and rotation speed

Her back was a little stiff and shoulders slightly rounded but she knows how to use her arms. Soft and pretty arm movements. A lot of expression, carrying emotions across really well.

She should work on improving her flow over the ice, deeper kneebend would help.

She has improved her personal best by around 5 points.

2. Monika SIMANCIKOVA /SVK/
Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saens

2axel [-2] – over the toe, hand down, not much control on the landing
3flip [1] – high and solid
3toe/2toe/2loop [1] – high, good flow throughout
3loop [0] – not a lot of flow out
flying camel to upward twist/up/change camel coe/sit broken leg(off-centred)/up [-1]
sideways to layback catch to biellmann [0] – could use more speed
3salchow/2toe [0]
3toe [0] – not a lot of flow out
3salchow/2toe [0] – in the same spot as the other salchow
straight line step sequence [0]
choreographic sequence: back biellmann spiral / split jump / spread eagle / footwork [0]
camel to var/change sit cannonball to forward tuck/up [1] – good rotation speed

Her posture is quite good and she had quite a lot of speed but her choreography was quite generic and there wasn't a lot of connection to the music. I hope she gets better programs in the future because the potential is definitely there.

Fashion police noticed that her bra was showing through. I guess whis is why skaters use illusion fabric.

3. Kerstin FRANK /AUT/
Soundtrack Selections by Hans Zimmer and William Ross

1lutz [-2] – a really long telegraphed entry
3salchow(turnout)/2toe [-1]
3toe/2toe [0]
fell on scratch butterflies into a flying camel
scratch butterflies into camel/sit/up Y/change camel/sit broken leg/up [-1] – quite slow (got no value anyway since the panel decided the element has already started when she fell)
straight line step sequence [-1] – quite slow, weak edges
3salchow [-1] – a little over the toe on the landing, poor speed out
3toe/2toe/2toe(weak landing) [-1]
2axel [1] – high and solid
2axel [1]
flying camel to upward twist to upward catch [-1] – quite slow
choreographic sequence: spiral, some footwork [-1] - weak
camel/sit/up sideways to layback catch [0]

Basic choreography, she was just stroking around the rink and into jumps. Little connection to the music. She seemed very nervous and there was a number of lot of smaller and bigger errors throughout.

4. Nathalie WEINZIERL /GER/
Havana by Dave Grusin

3lutz [1] – high and solid
2axel/3toe [1]
3lutz [-3] – fall
flying sit cannonball to broken leg to forward bend [1] – good rotation speed
3flip [0]
straight line step sequence [0]
2loop [0]
3salchow [0]
3salchow/2toe/2toe [0]
layback to sideways to catch to biellmann [0] – good rotation speed but off-centered
choreographic sequence: steps and a biellmann spiral(not held long) [-1]
camel/change sit/up var to up [1] – fast rotation

Good speed throughout, a lot of power in her basic skating. The choreography was lacking however and her movement did not reflect the character of the music very well. It had slow and fast parts but you'd never guess which was which if you muted it. She just skated through it.

5. ZHANG Kexin /CHN/
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind by Joe Hisaishi

3toe(cheated over a quarter, landing not very strong)/2toe(underrotated over a quarter, fall) [-3]
3lutz/2toe [0]
3loop [0]
scratch butterflies to flying camel coe to donut [1] – quite good rotation speed
3lutz [1] – high and solid
3lip [0] – good but slight outside edge on take-off
3salchow(cheated over a quarter)/2toe [-1]
layback to sideways to layback catch [1] – quite good rotation speed
straight line step sequence [0]
choreographic sequence: front biellmann spiral [0]
2axel [0]
camel/up Y/change up var/sit forward tuck [0] – very slightly off-centered at the end

Basic choreography. She skated with a blank face, not showing any expression whatsoever.

6. Valentina MARCHEI /ITA/
The Artist (soundtrack) by Ludovic Bource

3lutz [1] – very solid
2axel/3toe(cheated over a quarter) [-1]
3salchow – cheated slightly [-1]
flying sit broken leg/jump to sit var(slow) [-1]
straight line step sequence [1] – good expression, quite light over the ice
2lip [-2] – deep outside edge on take-off
catchfoot spiral towards 3lutz [-3] – messy fall
choreographic sequence: footwork and a spiral [1]
2axel [1] – solid
sideways to layback to catch(travelled a little) [0]
3salchow(cheated over a quarter, hand down)/1toe [-2]
camel/sit/up Y to up/change camel catch/sit forward bend [0] – quite good rotation speed at the start but slowed down after change of foot

Using her whole body to express the music throughout. Very good performance skills (facial expressions, eye contact with the judges, extending her movements well). The program had a lot of style and character.

7. Sonia LAFUENTE /ESP/
West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein

3flip [1] – solid
2flutz [-1]
3loop/2toe [0]
camel/sit/up Y/change camel/sit broken leg/up [0]
3toe [-1] – foot down quite quickly
3loop [-1] – turnout
layback to catch to biellmann [0]
2toe [0]
2axel [-1] – weak landing, over the toe
camel coe to donut/up/change sit holding foot to forward tuck [0] – could use a little more speed
straight line step sequence [0] – just going through the motions
choreographic sequence: Y spiral / spread eagle / steps [0]

She sleepwalked through her program. She was just going through the motions and it looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there. A really lifeless performance. And her choreography was quite simple to begin with.

8. Jenna MCCORKELL /GBR/
Where Have All The Flowers Gone

2lutz [1] – high and solid
3flip [0] – not much flow out
2toe/2toe [0] – not a lot of flow out
flying camel to upward twist/layback catch/change sit/up var [0]
3flip(cheated over quarter)/2toe [-2] – entry quite long
1salchow [0]
2axel – high and solid [1]
3toe(solid, decent flow out) into 2axel(poor flow out) [0]
camel sideways twist/sit var [0]
circular step sequence [0]
choreographic sequence: split jump / front spiral / steps [0]
flying sit side twist to forward bend [0]

A lot of crossovers in the program. Hardly any transitions. She moved her arms quite a lot throughout but her back was stiff.

9. Alena LEONOVA /RUS/
Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber
Requiem for a Tower by Clint Mansell

3toe(landing shaky)/3toe [0]
3loop [-3] – cheated over a quarter, two-footed, step out
3flutz [-2] – slight change of edge, touch down with free foot on the landing
scratch butterflies to flying camel to upward twist to catch [0] – not a lot of speed
3flip/2toe(weak landing, stepped out eventually) [-1]
3salchow [-3] – underrotated over a quarter, fall
3flip/2toe [0]
2axel [-2] – overrotated
straight line step sequence [1] – very expressive
choreographic sequence: spread eagle / Y spiral [1] – well extended
camel coe/sit/up catch/change camel/sit/up Y [0] – a little bit slow
sit to var/change sit cannonball to forward tuck [0]

Whilst most of the jumps didn't work, she has fought until the end, tried really hard to be expressive and fully committed to her choreography.

The program is very poorly constructed however. She would mostly skate around the rink and into the jumps, a very basic element layout. Very few transitions as well.

10. Elizaveta TUKTAMYSHEVA /RUS/
Dark Eyes

3lutz(high and solid)/2toe [1]
3lutz [-1] – over the toe, hand almost touching
3flip [1]
sideways to layback catch [1] – good rotation speed
circular step sequence [1] – expressive
2axel/3toe [0] – not a lot of flow out
3salchow/2toe/2loop [1] – solid, good flow throughout
flying sit holding foot to forward tuck [0] – landing a little shaky
3loop [1] – solid
choreographic sequence: back Y / steps / back biellmann [1]
2axel [1]
camel to upward catch/up/change sit/up var to up holding foot [1] – quite good rotation speed

She is expressive and has decent lines, extending all of her movements well. Speed and ice coverage are still noticably lacking (although have improved somewhat since last season). The choreography was a bit of a mess. Her movements did not really reflect the character of the music at all and I presume that a lot of the choreography has been binned – Mishin style – so that she can focus on her jumps.

Her jump technique is just excellent, however. You can see Mishin's hand in that.

11. Elena GLEBOVA /EST/
Black Magic Woman by Carlos Santana

3loop – underrorated slightly, fall [-3]
3toe/2toe – solid [1]
2axel [0] – barely made the rotation
3toe(slightly over the toe)/2toe [0]
sideways to layback catch [0]
circular step sequence [0] – could use more speed and flow
3salchow/2toe/2toe [0]
3salchow [0]
2axel [0]
flying sit to pancake to forward bend [0] – fast at the start but slow on the last position
choreographic sequence: footwork to front spiral(not held very well) [0]
camel to catch/up/change sit broken leg/up L [0]

Decent choreography, there was quite a lot of detail in her upper body movement and some footwork in between the elements as well. The element layout was a bit more unusual than what you'd normally expect.

12. Natalia POPOVA /UKR/
La Bayadere by Leon Minkus

3flip [0] – solid but not a lot of flow out
3loop [0]
3toe/2toe/2toe [0] – quite poor speed out
flying camel to upward twist to donut to upward catch [1] – decent rotation speed
camel/sit cannonball to broken leg/change upright var to Y [1] – decent positions and rotation speed
3toe/2toe [0] – quite soft landings but again could use some more speed out
3salchow/2toe [0]
3salchow [0]
2axel [0] – landing not very strong
straight line step sequence [0]
choreographic sequence: front Y / catch / some steps [0]
layback to catch to biellmann [0]

She is a very consistent skater but whilst her jumps were all very secure, they lacked speed and flow coming out. Her basic skating is quite heavy and whilst she moved her arms a lot throughout the program, her lines were quite poor. She needs to extend her movements better. Her back was quite stiff also. She should really work with a dance coach.

13. Gracie GOLD /USA/
Life is Beautiful (soundtrack) by Nicola Piovani

3lutz(solid)/3toe(turnout) [-1]
2axel/3toe [1]
3loop [1]
sideways to layback catch to biellmann [2] – well extended positions and rotation speed
flying camel to upward catch/sit forward bend/up L [1] – very good rotation speed but travelled a little
2axel [-2] – foot down, almost fell into the boards
3lutz [0] – very slightly shaky landing but clean
3lip/2toe/2toe [-2] – not a lot of speed out, off an outside edge on the flip
circular step sequence [1] – quite precise footwork
3salchow [-2] – step out
choroegraphic sequence: front basic spiral to catch / hops / ina bauer [0] – could have accentuated the movements better
camel to upward twist/change sit cannonball to var/up scratch(very fast!) [2] – very good rotation speed

Her jumps are very impressive when clean, she gets a lot of height. Spins were very strong as well. The choreography was a little subpar, however. The program didn't have a lot of style or character and she could have shown a bit more charisma and expression.

14. Viktoria HELGESSON /SWE/
Spellbound Concerto by Miklos Rozsa

2flip [-1] – wild in the air
3toe [-1] – turnout
3loop [-2] – cheated over a quarter, hand down
camel to upward twist to upward catch [1] – good rotation speed
circular step sequence [1] – smooth and light over the ice
3toe(slightly over the toe)/2toe [0]
3salchow [0]
3loop(high and solid) into 2axel(cheated over a quarter, step out) [-2]
camel/sit/up Y/change camel/jump to sit/up [1]
choreographic sequence [1] – nicely extended movements
2axel/2toe(turnout) [-1]
flying sit cannonball to forward tuck [0]

Smooth and light skating, lovely flow over the ice. Elegant movement. Very decent choreography, there were unexpected changes of direction and a good element layout.

15. SUZUKI Akiko /JPN/
O (from Cirque du Soleil)

3flip [-3] – cheated over half a revolution, hand down
2axel [-3] – a really messy fall
3flutz [0] – solid but off an outside edge
scratch butterflies to flying camel upward twist coe to upward catch [0]
circular step sequence [1] – quite good flow but she's not selling it as well as she's capable of
camel/sit/up Y/change sit var to forward bend/up [1] – quite good rotation speed
3flip [0] – not a lot of flow out
3loop/2toe [-2] – telegraphed entry, both of the jumps cheated over a quarter
3salchow [1] – quite good height and flow out
2loop [0]
choreographic sequence: steps and a lovely front spiral [2] – good energy
flying camel/sit var/jump to change upright sideways catch [1]

This program is very well choreographed and she moved to the music quite well but just like in the short, she seemed tense and lacked her usual fire.

16. Mae Berenice MEITE /FRA/
Abou Simbel
Hassan Prince du Desert from Zafara by Laurent Perez Del Mar
Yulunga
Serpent's Egg by Dead Can Dance
Belphegor (soundtrack)

3flip [1] – high and solid
(fell coming out of the jump but I would consider it to happen after that element has been completed)
3lutz [0] – high but a little off-axis in the air, not a great deal of flow out
3loop/2toe [1]
2axel [1] – nicely extended landing
circular step sequence [-1] – lacked speed and flow
camel/up Y/change sit holding foot to var(travelled slightly)/up [0]
2axel/3toe [1] – solid
choreographic sequence: two spirals and a split jump [1]
3loop/2toe [1]
3toe [1]
sideways to layback catch to biellmann [1] – decent rotation speed
flying camel raised free leg coe/up cross-foot [0]

An impressive display of jumping ability, she gets good height on her jumps and most the landings were solid also.

Presentation needs a lot of work though. Her posture is poor and her movements were heavy and wooden. She mostly skated through the music.

17. Adelina SOTNIKOVA /RUS/
At Last
Burlesque (soundtrack)

3flutz(off a slight outside edge)/3toe(cheated over a quarter, foot down) [-3]
3flip [1] – high and solid
3loop [0]
to scratch butterflies to upward twist to donut [2] – very good positions and rotation speed
2axel(shaky landing)/3toe(cheated) [-2]
3flip – fall [-3]
2axel [0] – a little over the toe
3salchow [0] – barely rotated
sideways to layback catch to biellmann [1] – good rotation speed (although slowed down on biellmann)
straight line step sequence [0] – could use more speed and flow
camel to illusion/sit foot on head/jump to change sit/up Y [2] – good positions and rotation speed
choreographic sequence [1] – well extended spirals

Just like her short, this program lacked style and character. There was upper body movement throughout but it didn't seem to relate to the music very well.

18. LI Zijun /CHN/
Sleeping Beauty by Peter I. Tchaikovski

3flip/3toe [2] – very strong on both jumps
2axel/3toe [1]
3flutz [0] – solid but off an slight outside edge
camel coe to upward twist to donut to upward catch [1] – good positions and rotation speed
camel/up Y/change up var/sit forward tuck [0] – quite good start but travelling after change of foot
3salchow/2toe/2loop [0] – not a lot of flow out
3flip [1]
3loop [0] – could use some more flow out
circular step sequence [1] – quite deep edges, busy upper body movement
2axel [0]
choreographic sequence: front biellmann / split jump / footwork / ina bauer [0] – could extend her movements better
layback to sideways to layback catch to biellmann [2] – very good rotation speed

Decent flow throughout, very good use of her arms which she moved in a soft and neat way.

What she needs to work on improving now to move to the next level is skating 'bigger' and generating more speed. It would be also good to see her move her whole body to the music as well as her she almost exclusively moved her arms, whilst the rest of her upper body remained quite stiff.

She has decimated her previous personal best.

19. Ashley WAGNER /USA/
Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saens

3flip/2toe/2toe with arms above [0] – landing a little skiddy on the flip but good flow throughout the combination
2axel/3toe(underrorated over a quarter, two-footed, overrotated) [-3]
3salchow [1] – solid
flying sit side twist/jump to sit to forward bend [0] – slow on the last position
layback to sideways to layback catch to biellmann [0] – positions extended quite well but could use more speed
spread eagle to 3loop [1] – solid, into another spread eagle
3flutz [1] – high and solid but a very slight change of edge
3loop(solid) into 2axel(weak landing, foot down quickly) [0]
circular step sequence [-2] – fell towards the end, deep edges
slipped on her backward crossover
three-turns into 3flip [0] – didn't hold the landing very long
choreographic sequence: charlotte / spread eagle [1] – well extended
camel to upward twist/sit/change camel coe/up scratch [1] – well extended positions, decent rotation speed

Elegant, good expression throughout.

20. MURAKAMI Kanako /JPN/
Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla
A fuego lento by Astor Piazzolla
Adios Nonino by Astor Piazzolla

3flutz [-2] – clear change of edge, barely made the rotation
3loop(cheated over a quarter)/2toe [-1]
3flip [1] – good height and solid landing
straight line step sequence [1] – bouncy, good expression
layback to sideways to layback catch to biellmann [1] – quite good rotation speed
3loop [-1] – cheated over a quarter
3flip into 1axel [0]
3salchow(slightly cheated)/2loop/2loop [0]
3toe – just about made the rotation [0]
flying sit to holding foot coe to var [1] – quite good rotation speed
choreographic sequence: steps / Y spiral [1] – good energy nicely done to the music
turns into camel/up Y/change sit forward bend/up var [2] – very good rotation speed

Decent flow over the ice but not a lot of Latin character to her movements. She had good energy as always but the choreography fell a little flat.

21. Carolina KOSTNER /ITA/
Bolero by Maurice Ravel

3lutz [1] – high and solid, good flow out , a telegraphed entry however
2axel [1]
3flip/3toe(slightly cheated, not a lot of flow out) [-1] – telegraphed entry
flying camel upward twist/jump to change sit var/up cross-foot [1] – decent positions and rotation speed
scratch butterflies to flying camel coe to upward twist to upward catch [1]
1loop [0]
3toe/2toe [0]
3salchow/2toe/2loop [1]
camel to illusion/change sit cannonball/sideways catch [1] – good rotation speed
straight line step sequence [2] – deep edges, good upper body movement
choroegraphic sequence: front spiral / stag jump / steps [1]
into 3salchow – underrrotated over half a revolution, fall [-3]

Choreography wasn't as busy as in her short program, unfortunately, but she did move to the music extremely well throughout her performance. Aboslutely incredible basic skating. Smooth edges, she generates speed reallly easily.

There was a lot of drama as she's had a massive nosebleed before starting her program and she has later told press that she could see blood throughout her performance and was really scared. Fortunately she didn't let it really affect her performance.

22. ASADA Mao /JPN/
Swan Lake by Peter I. Tchaikovski

3axel [-3] – slightly cheated, two-footed and then overrotated on the landing
3flip [-2] – cheated, turned out and aborted the planned combination
3flutz [-2] – ok but off a clear inside edge
3loop/2loop [0]
flying camel to illusion/sit holding foot/change up biellmann [1] – held biellmann for a lot of revolutions, rotation speed not bad
2axel/3toe [1] – solid, could use some more flow out though
3salchow [-1] – slightly cheated
camel/up Y/change sit broken leg to forward bend [1] – well extended positions and decent flow throughout but could use some more speed
3flip/2loop(cheated over a quarter)/2loop(cheated slightly) [-1]
flying camel upward twist to upward catch [1] – decent rotation speed
straight line step sequence [2] – busy foot work and uppper body movement
choroegraphic step sequence [2] – fast footwork and a very well extended front spiral [2]

She has a dead straight back and good lines so ballet music is a good choice for her. This was nicely presented but the program had quite a lot of crossovers and not a great deal of connecting movements.

23. Kaetlyn OSMOND /CAN/
Carmen Ballet Suite by Georges Bizet

3flip(high but landing not very strong)/2toe [0]
3flutz [0] – strong but off a slight outside edge
2axel/3toe [-2] – overrotated
camel/up Y/change camel illusion/sit var/up [1] – quite good rotation speed
3salchow [1] – high and solid
3flip [-3] – painful fall
3toe [-3] – underrorated over a quarter, fall
2axel/2toe/2toe(overrotated) [-2] – a little weak throughout
to flying sit cannonball/change camel upward catch/up raised knee [0] – could use more speed
straight line step sequence [-1] – it started quite well but she has run out of steam at the end and lacked flow
to sideways to layback catch to biellmann [1] – quite good rotation speed
choreographic sequence: spread eagle / front spiral / split jump [2] - really well extended movements

Quite good expression. A very impressive amount of transitions throughout. Her technical elements were connected into the program well. Strong choreography.

Posture needs work, she keeps rounding her shoulders.

'Higher than my goal' she says after seeing she's been placed 7th so far (I guess she aimed for 10th).

24. KIM Yuna /KOR/
Les Miserables by Claude-Michel Schönberg

3lutz/3toe [2] – high and very solid
3flip [2] – huge
flying camel upward twist/change sit holding foot/up var [1] – decent positions and rotation speed
3salchow [0] – clean but a little bit scratchy on the landing though
circular step sequence [1]
3lutz – cheated almost a quarter (and no judges noticed, heh), strong otherwise [0]
spread eagle into 2axel/2toe/2loop [2] – solid, good flow throughout
3salchow/2toe [0] – solid, could use a little more speed out though
sideways to layback to catch [1] – quite good rotation speed
choreographic sequence: front spiral / footwork [1]
ina bauer to 2axel [2] – high and solid
turns to camel coe/sit broken leg/up/change camel/sit/up Y [1] – good positions and rotation speed

All of the technical elements were secure and executed well. There wasn't a single moment of hesitation or uncertainty in the program.

The choreography was not as nuanced as in the short, however and this meant all of her flaws were on display. Lines were not fully extended, toes were not pointed, she had pretty much the same facial expression throughout and there was not a lot of eye contact with the judges (if at all). In the SP this was all offset by the fact that there was busy upper body movement throughout (that she seemed to deliver with a bit more conviction as well). But in the FS, it was rather sparse. The element layout was pretty standard as well. She definitely deserves more interesting choreography and hopefully Wilson is going to be more creative and original next season. Given she's just come back, maybe her team didn't want to overburden her with too complex choreography whilst she's getting back to form.

Speed was very good however and she moved smoothly over the ice.

don't worry. the fact that all the criticism is about the lack of pointed toes and eye contact with judges :)unsure:) shows how little there is to say. lol. let them at it, as pathetic as it may be.

The only criticism I chuckle at is the "lack of facial expressions". When you actually watch a clear HD feed and see the pictures of her performance, some people would accuse her of exaggerated facial expressions. Watch her Korean Nats performance, taken from an angle where it's quite clear she's emoting throughout.

As for the remarks about choreography, lines/stretch, toe-point, it's a matter of taste. It doesn't bother me. People have their own opinions. :)

Judges do not have telescopes to detect any eye contact. The laughable thing about Ziggy is that she/he still thinks those opinions carry a lot of weight... Kostner/Chan's 4x falls do not bother him/her as much as Yu Na's 'lack of facial expressions'. Crazy stuff. I read her/his stuff for entertainment reason.
By the way, he/she is also strict with grammer. Be careful! My bad, should be 'devote xx to do sth instead of devote xx to doing sth'. LOL.

What a load of crap. And I am talking about this Ziggy the full-o-wisdom's reasoning on what he/she tries to pass as "criticism". And four threads too long of it.

No need to bite anyone's head off. These reports are just one person's opinion. I for one have read them with interest, whether I agree with every point or not.

Ziggy, are you a judge (I mean at other competitions), or were you at the event? I'm just curious, and wondering why these reports are stickied...hopefully it's not taken to be prying.

I am mostly happy with the results other than I would have Wagner above Murakami in all phases of the competition and obviously overall. The way Wagner moves and engages the audience has gotten up a notch this season and Murakami looks juniorish in comparison.

And if Wagner had done level 4 spins and done the steps like it was intended, I would give her the bronze over Asada, whom I would have placed above wagner in the free but not overall.

Any criticism on Yuna has been fine with me such as her stiff body or leg positions or whatever because some of them are true and people have their own different taste. I know Yuna is not a god who's perfect on everything. But oh come on ... a lack of facial expression? Seriously? She may be accused of being over-dramatic with her facial expressions or maybe fabricated expressions that you could not connect with - which by the way I don't think so - but blaming her for not having one just makes your whole post ridiculous. How could you not notice her facial expressions while you catch all of those lacking rotations?

Yuna is hardly stiff. Top level skaters can't be stiff. She only is when you compare her with the most flexible of skaters.

Ziggi, thank you so much for the reports. Very appreciated. It help me to understand. I'm not saying that I agree with all of you, but I like to hear different opinions.

To all of them who don't like it, don't read it. You know from the title that it's a personal taste, so why do you bother? Let it be for them who enjoy reading it. Everyone have the right to have a personal opinion/taste. This is figure skating not an element challenge and it's always a task of taste, and it's therefore there are judges on this sport and not robots.

If you are referring to my comments, of course she's not stiff but in that sense, she has no weak point. On her level, there's no point in talking about 'she's better than the most of others' because we already agree on that, don't we?

Personal taste or not, this thread is pinned, and so it seems to carry more "authority" than a mere forum member's opinions.

Nevertheless, in the end it doesn't matter to me, as I know no matter what she does Yuna can't please everybody. Years from now when people look back at her performances and achievements, their merits will not be based some random, anonymous comment on the internet whining about her lack of toe-point.

Yuna should be proud of herself for being away from the competition for a long time and able to come back strong. No question that she deserves the title this year. I enjoyed her skating at London very much, and also Caro's. I also was impressed with Zijun and Gracie, their first Worlds debut. great job!! The Ladies event did not disappoint me as the Men's when the winner did not deserve the title.

Contrarily to what you wrote, Mao's program had much less crossovers and a lot more linking moves/transitions than e.g. Carolina's one. Some of your assessments are really strange cause you seem to be quite knowledgable. For instance, you criticise Ashley's second triple flip since she supposedly "didn't hold the landing too long". Yeah, because she went straight into the choreography/difficult exit which actually boost up GOE the same way her entrance does.

Thanks for the summary Ziggy.

I think it's apparent that this thread is a member's opinion, as evidenced by suggested GOE and comments. As harsh as Ziggy's assessment of Yu Na might seem, it is pointing out certain flaws in her skating, which weren't as apparent in her previous programs. I, for one, would have been shaking my head had Yu Na's FS score surpassed her FS from 2010 OWG, since she had harder content and was more polished.

I think what's to be commended is two clean skates (which frankly we haven't seen all year, and for most of the women in the FS at Worlds, too) from somebody on the comeback trail.

The toe point is picky (no pun intented) but one thing I don't understand is the comment about the standard element layout. It was a well-balanced program with 3 jump passed in the first half (including a 3Z-3T), and 4 in the latter half, including a 3Z; and the spins were all spaced out (several other skaters put spins back to back, which I'm not the biggest fan of).

Just want to picking on her(Yuna)...
I adore you, your enthusiasm.

But You know Ziggy...
Putting down her is not helping other Ladies.
JUST MAKE THEM Les Miserables...
And Yuna is not kinda person who need your help or concern at all. (Her team, too.)
They are all professionals, and you're ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Spend your time wisely.
This is Big secret of YUNA's work.
