Radionova is really doing A LOT of competitions this season! Three JGP, Russian Cup, Senior nationals, Junior nationals, junior worlds, another national competition and then this... the 9th?? The busiest season ever!! She should easily win here, though... There are also Agafonova and Gosviani as Seniors! I hope Agafonova skates well, she looked so good at the RC Final... Gachinski is competing: he was working on his new FS a few days ago, did he have time train properly?

Radionova always competed in many events even nationally

I do hope this doesn't mean they are giving more preference to Radionova to someone like Julia or even Tuk
because it won't make sense and it is plain wrong to prefer Radionova to someone with more potential and talent like Lipnitskaya

Past season she had 9 competitions. Last was Triglav Trophy (Novice), she won it easily and earned Technical Score both in SP and FS higher than needed for Senior Worlds!
I understand why she was at Triglav Trophy past season - for practice of competing abroad.

This season it will be her 10th competition (she had 3 JGP, 2 Russian Cup Events, both Senior and Junior Nationals, JrWorlds, Spartakiad). I know why she needed all these competitions. For example, Spartakiad is Team Event and her win was needed for Moscow Team.
But I can't understand wat will give her Junior Triglav Trophy (Senior can not be, she is too young). No WR score. Only Technical Minimum score not needed for her. Pracitce of abroad competitions - she had it a lot.

About busiest season - Alsu Kajumova had 14 competitions past season. Only at last of them (Nationals Elder Age) she earned Membership in Team Russia.

Maybe she's a bit superstitious and thinks that Triglav brings her good luck for the season after... ;)

That's a huge lead! That is good and Too bad too young for Sochi I think

Petrov is still 13 years old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALyrRAbzdTQ
hopefully 2018 won't be that bleak at least one of Petrov, Kovtun or Samarin to have some success for Russia

ETA: Samarin is not sick, but flight to Slovenia was delayed and did not make in time
I wonder if Radionova is on the same flight ??? they have the same coach

Wow, Radionova's score is quite high-higher than Mao/Akiko/Gracie/Adelina's SP score at Worlds.

Judges usually give low PCS to junior skaters, so I think she can receive 27~28 for her PCS at senior GP next season(if she wants to compete there) if she skates clean.

Gachinski is an embarassment might as well retire,
a 13 year old Petrov had his score competed in Seniors his 66+ score would have been close to Gachinski's 70+ SP

Petrov and Radionova have higher TES than Gachinski.
How good for Juniors, how bad for Senior Man.

Junior Ladies SP

1 Elena RADIONOVA RUS 62.34 - 3lz-3t, 3f, 2a
Predictable, yes?

Wow, Radionova's score is quite high-higher than Mao/Akiko/Gracie/Adelina's SP score at Worlds.
Past season Radionova at Triglav Trophy in Novice had TES both SP and FS higher than Technical Minimum for Worlds (Ladies).
Now at Juniors he has TES higher than Men's Technical Minimum for Worlds.

Gachinski had two mistakes - 3/2 and a spin that didn't count. with him competing in senior men for Russia that's still good because he also did 3a and 4t. Like sure japan or Canada retirement might make sense but this is Russia so here's no reason. The standard is so low. Look who Russia sent to worlds someone who did a 3t-1t in the short! And at euros did a double axel in the sp!! So if kovtun is Being sent to worlds with 3t-1t combos gachinski has no reason to stop!
