Does anyone have information on when they post the entries for the Junior Grand Prix series?
I know that the first competition in Latvia begins in late August but didn't know how early they post the entry list.
Sorry if this should be posted elsewhere or if there was a similar post.

Entries for the first JGP event should be posted on the ISU website somewhere around August 1st.

Canada has posted its entries for the first JGP event:

LADIES: Alaine Chartrand
MEN: Roman Sadovsky
PAIRS: Mary Orr / Phelan Simpson, Dylan Conway / Dustin Sheriff-Clayton
DANCE: Mackenzie Bent / Garrett MacKeen

Skate Canada does have two ladies in each event, as Canada was the #3 finishing country, so why not two ladies here?

Maybe, lack of International-level Juniors?
There are only 5 Ladies in National Team (see http://www.skatecanada.ca/AboutUs/NewsDetails/tabid/2157/sni[2797]/2716/language/en-US/Default.aspx ), two of them have GP Events, so only three may have JGP Events. Results of other Ladies at Nationals are not so high (excluding Larkyn Austman, Junior Champion). So there are 4 or so Ladies for JGP Events, and one of them - Gabrielle Daleman - may be at Canadian GP Event, not JGP.

Past season three Canadian Junior Ladies (Daleman, Chartrand, Séguin) were at JGP (6 spots because of 7th place at JrWords-2012) with 2 spots for each, all spots were used.

For comparison, Russian National Team has 10 Ladies eligible for JGP Events, US National team - more than 10.

Yes.
Also Miller and Wang - these two would have two GP Events for each of them, because of their Season Best scores. But USFS prefers to see them at JGP.

I agree they should be in seniors, but Miller and Wang would only each have ONE event guaranteed, only the top 12 finishers at Worlds are guaranteed 2, and with the depth in the US right now, it is unlikely either would have gotten 2 especially considering neither went to Junior Worlds and earned more ranking points there. So it comes down to, would you rather have 1 senior GP event and risk not getting any invites the next season if you don't do well there and/or don't earn any post-nationals assignments, or would you rather have 2 JGP events basically guaranteed and earn a likely trip to the final, giving you more chances to earn a good SB score as WS points that way, not to mention have a chance to build up your international reputation and gain some momentum going into Nationals. When you think of it this way, it makes sense that the three girls opted to do the JGP again.

That's why Wang and or Miller needed to go to Junior Worlds. Yasmin Siraj had one good competition all season yet she got to go to Jr Worlds and didn't even finish in to top 10 which Wang or Miller most certainly would have.

In fact, all Top26 of Season Best have two GP Events, except Miller (18) and Wang (22). Most probably, they would have 1st Event for SB, and 2nd also for SB, in this case 23rd-26th of SB (Miyahara, Gedevanishvili, Leonova, V.Helgesson) would have only 1 GP Event. Leonova and V.Helgesson - because they are in Top24 of WS.

GP Events are distributed as follows:
1. 2 Events for Top12 of Worlds.
3. 1 Event for Top24 of WS, Top24 of SB, medalists of JrWorlds.
3. If there are free spots after 1 and 2, they are distributed in order of SB, so they who have good SB obtain 2nd GP Event.
(also may be "returning", they are not exist in this season, and some skaters obtain "organising member places").

Actually it's no less likely to get only one JGP than one GP. If you bomb your first JGP, which is a strong possibility given that it's the first competition in the season, you don't get a second. Vanessa Lam was a good example last season.

But that's a decision USFS makes based upon a result...I already saw Miller's LP this year, unless she significantly declines from what I saw (unlikely), she won't bomb.

And Ashley Cain. Both had not so good results at JGP I (Courchevel) and no 2nd JGP Event.

Miller did not bomb at Nationals. One downgraded jump at SP and three URs at FS - 10th place.

The US Figure Skating website first posted, then quickly deleted, some JGP assignments -- on Jun 3, the day that GP assignments officially were announced.
The now-deleted JGP assignments (for whatever they are worth??) are in this GS thread:

Hawayek/Baker are prepping for JGP Mexico, according to IN's caption to a Skate Detroit photo.

ETA:
And an IN article on Skate Detroit says that U.S. novice dance champions Chloe Lewis and Logan Bye also are prepping for JGP Mexico (which will be their JGP debut).

(Among the now-deleted JGP assignments mentioned above, H/B [ETA: and L/B] were on the list for Mexico. So maybe the deleted assignments will prove to be accurate??)
