Was wondering why there was no Prölß/Blommaert assigned if Prölß is doing singles here...didn't realize Blommaert is already 21 and thus ineligible. Pairs combos are weird sometimes with that age rule.

Leah is assigned? After her bad summer results, I would not be surprised if she was "suggested" to WD...

Aleksandra Proklova

Ladies: Kuchvalska (LAT), Sakhanovich (RUS)
Aleksandra Proklova (2000) http://www.fskate.ru/photos/image21400.jpg will skate in Koshice.
I'll briefly introduce her: she trains in TsCKA with coach Inna Goncharenko in the same group with Lena Radionova, Alexander Samarin. She has fantastic extensions as well as 3F+3T, 3Lz+3T, 3F+1Lo+3S and a good presentation on ice. In spring 2013 she won Chrystal Skate International competition by delivering two clean programs, I personally saw her flawless Free Skate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwec9vdFtrY&feature=player_embedded#t=0

More changes as of 9/05:

MEN:
Matej GREGORC (SLO) out, no replacement
Alexander SAMARIN (RUS) replaced by Moris KVITELASHVILI

LADIES:
Naja FERKOV (SLO) out, no replacement
Maria STAVITSKAIA (RUS) replaced by Alexandra PROKLOVA

It seems as if Russian assignments are a shot in the dark, and you never know who will actually show up to skate. :sarcasm:

its always like that in most russian sports
their choices and changes are unpredictable

Samarin is still ill, poor guy always gets sick
so he is replaced by Moris

Hope the field for this event doesn't completely decay like Mexico City did, size wise.
There weren't even enough teams in the dance event to give out all of the potential ISU ranking points!

Not to worry. Twenty dance teams are scheduled for Kosice, so even if half of them dropped off, there would still be 10 left to get points!

Top ladies contenders in this competition are:
Karen Chen
Serafima Sakhanovich
Barbie Long
Hae Jin Kim
Alexandra Proklova
Ziquan Zhao

If another girl which I haven't mentioned above medals, I will be really surprised. My podium guess: Chen, Sakhanovich, Proklova.

Love Proklova; she has fantastic timing, and musicality. Just hope her jumps are a little bit bigger and rotated this year....they always look just so to me.
