Judges panel is balanced. Only teams that may get some favoritism are the French and Canadian teams since both are represented in both tech and judge panels.

My picks (in no particular order):
Bent/Mackeen (CAN)
McNamara/Carpenter (USA)
Korotitskaia/Spodirev (UKR)
Elizabeth/Legac (FRA)
Pogrebinsky/Gudis (USA)

Interesting that Russia withdrew both teams originally scheduled for this event and only one new team (Loboda/Drozd) replaced them.

I would never rule out the Russian couple, although I am unfamiliar with them.

Does anyone know whether ISU will be uploading videos?

The ISU channel on youtube will show the JGP programs, but not in real time.

McNamara/Carpenter reminds me of young Davis/White.

easy win for Mcnamara/Carpenter my new mini Davis/White
Bent/Mckeen and the Italian or/French couple should round the top 3 podium

Loboda/Drozd leapfroged into a JGP event ? they haven't even achieved much on national competitions
even Drozd fake Charlie White fair wont help that

I underestimated the overmarking of Russian couples! Otherwise I would've had my 1/2/3 correct :(

Both the french couple and UKR couple messed up the twizzles. The Russians were second on TES and forth on PCS, almost tied with the couple from Ukraine. But even if the conspiracy theories are right, you would still be wrong because there is an American couple in front of both teams you saw as being third.
The Russians were sent here probably because they are prepared and skated well in the open skates.

Loboda - Drozd are good (not excellent, but really good) Junior couple.

They skated together only at 2012/2013 Season, so it is normal that they have progress.

I really liked Bent/MacKeen!! McNamara/Carpenter's program was nice but... was it a quickstep? I didn't really understand its theme... :slink:

I really liked Bent/MacKeen!!

Their costumes were also  Very classy and elegant look, very polished skaters. I saw them live in 2011 at a JGP were they won their first medal (a bronze) and even then their quality was showing in spades. I can't wait to see their FD

McNamara and Carpenter will have been together for 7 years this December.

And she's not even 15 yet.

Wow.
