The guy who played the Duke in Moulin Rouge (can't remember his name off the top of my head, but I saw the "making of" documentary and he looks & sounds so different. Plus his performance as the Duke was, I thought, flawless.) Ewan McGregor was great too.

Johnny Depp - "Pirates of the Caribbean"

Tom Hanks - "Forrest Gump"

And although this isn't films, I thought Alex Ferns was terrific as evil Trevor in EastEnders (though a lot of you probably won't have seen that).

Again, old movie girl, so I have a lot of old movie favs...

*Cary Grant: The Philadelphia Story and Arsenic and Old Lace

*Jimmy Stewart: ANYTHING...one of my all time favorite actors; he's just blow me away any time. I think my favorite would be The Philadelphia Story, but it's a hard choice between that and Rear Window. Other favs of his would include It's a Wonderful Life (duh!) and Vertigo. I just love him in Hitchcock movies!

*Clark Gable: Gone with the Wind. Actually, though I don't think that he was a very versatile actor by any sense of the word, I find his on screen presence magnetic in any film, even when he's playing the same role over and over. Gone with the Wind was by far his deepest and most layered performance.

*Errol Flynn: Robin Hood and Captain Blood. The epitome of the dashing, courageous, and absolutely gorgeous heartthrob!

*Christian Bale: Little Women. How could Jo refuse him?

*Jeremy Northam: Emma and The Winslow Boy

*Colin Firth: Pride and Prejudice

*Johnny Depp: Pirates. He is so friggin' hilarious! I've seen it four or five times, and I still crack up every time!

*Orlando Bloom: Pirates. Okay, really not anything incredibly new, but he does a good job with this role and he's HOT !

*Viggo Mortenson: FOTR. I thought he hit just the right character notes in this movie, and I'm a big fan of the book. I also love his dedication to the role.

*Sean Astin: ROTK. If he doesn't get a nomination for best supporting actor at the Oscars, it will be a complete travesty!

Okay, eleven instead of ten. And I know I'm missing some really important ones, but I just can't think of them right now!
