I was hoping to see the two Russian couples throw down the gauntlet to their 3 fellow Russians teams (V/Z, T/M & F/M) who have already broke the 100 point barrier but they were long way of that sadly. With G/B scoring just 87 and D/D not even breaking 80, very dissapointing.

G/B didn't do as bad the score would suggest. They had a lift not count as he failed to lock out his arms on the first go so that probably cost them 6/7 marks, negative GOE on the opening 3 jump combo. I liked the overall programme. D/D on other hand were as poor as the score suggests. It started of well with a good 3TW but then she fell on the opening 3T, so no combo, then both done 2S. A few of the lifts got negative GOE's and he fell out of the BODS. They have a lot of work to do, they look quite good in the Short but not in the Free.

The american couple who finished second had a decent skate but not perfect. On the whole a disappointing competition.
