It was good to see the last two skaters go bak to back. Yuzuru had arms flying everywhere....Not sure of foot....no comparison in PCS tonight!

This I just don't get - he is a true artist, albeit an introverted one. Gorgeous gorgeous, contemplative skater.

I agree, not everyone needs to be "in your face" emotive. I'm cool with Patricks "artistry", there are other aspects of his skating I enjoy.

Really? Interesting that a fan of Jeremy admires Chan as an artist. I have to say, I have never seen this art in Chan. Never.

I know SweetSkates, because I love you! and your taste in general :), but I do find Chan to be an artist. His posture, line, edging, extension, the way he holds his hands, his interesting choreography, his musicality and grace. He reminds me a bit of John Curry, actually. he doesn't have the spiritual quality that Jeremy and Paul Wylie do, but he is grace personified in my eyes.

Unfortunately Hanyu is more of a SP specialist as he has stamina problem for the long. Kind of like Brezina. Yet both didn't do well in their SP today.

I'm okay if Patrick wins ;)
May the best skater win. Looking forward to a day of FS tomorrow.

Yuzu looks like he is about to collapse all the time - it is difficult to watch. He just looked so exhausted after the second half... sigh but an 80 vs 88 without quad? :rolleye::unsure:

I hope that Chan will win the Olympic Games and retire. I am sick of him always winning, skating good or bad...

:) let's agree to disagree on PChan and to love Jeremy!

Yeah I don't understand...

Chan to me, has an ON-switch to his "artistry and interpretation" when the music starts. If you haven't noticed, he always begins with deep breaths and eyes closed while slowing opening them. It's rather awkward to watch.

It's not unheard of for a post Vancouver SP program to score well without a quad. Daisuke broke 90 at NHK 2011 without a quad.

Very messy skating especially when compared to the last flight of ladies. Well, tomorrow is another day.

A win from Ross would never surprise me so I would not call him a Wylie, our Jeremy Abbott, on the other hand, he is the dream, the impossible one!

Is this a joke? Ross Miner has never won anything on the senior level. His last win was in 2009 as the Junior National Champion and a win at a junior grand prix event held in the USA. His resume, both nationally and internationally, is vastly inferior to Jeremy Abbott's. Abbott has won 3 Senior Grand Prix titles (1 at Skate Canada; 2 at Cup of China), a Senior Grand Prix Final title in the 2008-2009 season, 3 Senior US National Championships, the 2006 Finlandia Trophy, and 1 Junior US National Championship.

Strange that Ross Miner continues to bomb and is labeled a reliable, steady competitor, but when Jeremy Abbott bombs, he is constantly called a headcase. What gives?
