The discussion by some on the GPF FS thread regarding disappointing top contenders prompted me to ask, so what are your top five favorite men's programs this year? It doesn't have to be from the top contenders and can even be from someone that will end up not competing at the Olympics. And you can put junior programs in too, if you like.

Also you can just pick five favorites and not have to rank them.

I'll start:

SP (in alphabetical order; don't feel like ranking!)
Patrick Chan, Elegie in E Flat Minor, choreographed by Jeffery Buttle
Yan Han, Minor Waltz/Viper's Drag, choreographed by Lori Nichol
Yuzuru Hanyu, Parisienne Walkways, choreographed by Jeffery Buttle
Takahiko Kozuka, Square Dance, choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne
Nobunari Oda, The Cotton Club, choreographed by David Wilson

FS
Jason Brown, Reel Around the Sun, choreographed by Rohene Ward
Stephen Carriere, Don Quixote, choreography by David Wilson
Patrick Chan, Four Seasons, choreographed by David Wilson
Konstantin Menshov, Allegro by Rene Aubry, Rose by Rene Aubry, Night Run by Rene Aubry
Adam Rippon, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, choreographed by Tom Dickson

I haven't had a chance to pay close attention to the programs, but definitely Jason's Reel Around the Sun grabbed me from the first moment. Good work by both Jason and Rohene Ward!

Nobunari Oda - Cotton Club
This short suits him to a tee. Playful and quirky, definitely one of my favourites.

Tatsuki Machida - East of Eden
Was captivated when he debuted it at his first GP. He puts all his emotions into his skating, so the powerful music is a great match.

Yuzuru Hanyu - Parisienne Walkways
Yuzu totally embodies the theme and feel of the music. It starts with a languid quality and builds up to a fast paced, intense step sequence.

Ross Miner - The Way We Were
I never particularly enjoyed his skating last season, but this short is very elegant and has some beautiful movements.

Shoma Uno - The Blessed Spirits
I first watched this program live at DOI 2013, and it surprised me how well he sold it! I feel like this program is what Brian Joubert's Inception strived to be like.

LP:
Patrick Chan - Four Seasons
My favourite program from him in recent years, there's confidence and command - I think he himself really buys into the music, and it comes through. Love the final step sequence.

Jason Brown - Reel Around the Sun
I think he's the only skater who's able to pull off this music. Intricate and stylistic.

Yuzuru Hanyu - Romeo & Juliet
Passionate and dramatic, i'm looking forward to seeing the program develop. Love the ina bauer highlight!

Nathan Chen (not sure what the program is called...)
This kid is awesome - great performer and a fun vehicle for him.

Can't settle on a 5th... will need to give it some more thought and watch some more programs!

I'm a little surprised no-one's mentioned Farris' Schindler's List...
