I am not an oldies movie fan. Except for Hitchcock films, I won't stay home to watch a Hepburn / Tracy movie or any other black and white film. I'd rather watch paint dry.

However, I do have a few all time faves, movies I've seen many times and would probably watch again should they ever pop up on tv:

Hair
Annie Hall
Gone With the Wind (my oldies exception)
The Wizard of Oz (my second oldies exception)
Blazing Saddles

Funny story about Blazing Saddles... First of all, I have never in my life laughed harder than I laughed at that movie. I was, literally, falling out of my chair. Okay, well, I'd seen the movie probably twice already but I went with my husband when it made it to Israel. The movie was subtitled; and although most Israelis have terrific English, they read the subtitles. I must have been the only native English speaker in the crowded theater, because I laughed at the jokes immediately as they were said, while everyone else laughed a few seconds later, after they read the subtitles, which only made me laugh harder. This continued throughout the entire movie, with me laughing hysterically, out loud, followed by everyone else a few seconds later.
:D   :D   :D

This one's easy. My entire video collection. Which isn't very big. Because I will only buy movies I have already seen at least 3 times and know I will want to see again! :)

Thelma & Louise (I keep hoping it's going to end differently but somehow it never does, tho there was really no good way to end that movie.)
The Color Purple
The Grifters (I saw this one three times in one week when it was in the theatres)
Party Girl
The Big Chill (I am still waiting for the deluxe DVD that will have the deleted Kevin Costner scenes; not a Costner fan but I'd love to see them.)
Crimes of the Heart (I die laughing every single time Sissy Spacek comes down that staircase with the rope dragging the chandelier behind her!)
Bagdad Cafe
The Witches of Eastwick
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

In no particular order:

Shawshank Redemption
Man Without a Face
Sound of Music
A Christmas Carol (1933? B&W with Alistair Sims version)
Littlest Mermaid
Grease
My Girl (part one)
Con Air
Terminator I (just the scene where Ahnold runs over the toy truck with his motorbike)

BTW, I watched "Saturday Night Fever" for the first time since it was released the other day and was struck by what a desperate and dark story it told. I guess that's the difference between watching a movie at 18 and again at 44.
