Very nice photo of Mirai! Also good of IN to remind me that Mirai does infact exist. I was beginning to think she was a figment of my imagination that my brain conjured to both fill me with joy and torturous pain. Hoping her evil twin doesn't show up today.

The stadium looks so empty and Taipei is a very populated city-- does it mean figure skating does not have many fans there? No wonder there is no practice reports whatsoever. I mean before the ladies SP starts, we don't have any information about the lady skaters' practice
I think it is more to do with a working day and Chinese New Year is coming up and there's no way people are going to take an extra day off for skating. That stadium is actually bigger than the Sochi rink, Taipei Arena can hold 15,000+ capacity vs 12,000 max capacity at Sochi, so it is bit of an overkill perhaps for a competition of this size, with the biggest star skater being Mirai and possibly Kanako. It will be interesting to see the turn out at weekend.
