Congrats to the medalists, you guys were amazing today! I can't wait to see Kanako at the Olympics she can be a podium contender her programs are so beautiful :love:

Thanks everyone for the pbps and videos. Congratulations to Kanako and the other medalists. Thought Courtney's overall performance showed improvement. Mirai didn't go for the triple-triples or 2A-3T, but I thought her performance quality was very enjoyable. It was good to see her smile at center ice before and after the performance, and that she was in good spirits in the kiss-and-cry. Looking forward to seeing Samantha and the rest of the ladies' performances. Good night (or good morning) all!

Alaine had the highest scoring element (3Lz-1/2L-3S) but the GOE Kanako got was just CRAZY!! Fully deserved but crazy nonetheless, almost 10 points of it right there and that includes getting dinged for a flutz! Satoko had the highest base value, and almost 8 points in GOE. Li's 3 jump combo didn't get counted for the 10% bonus....she'll have to fix that. :think:

Zijun was not perfect, in fact.
Her skate was slower and some jumps ware shaky

Mirai's URs all in the 2nd half of the program = lack of stamina = exactly what she was worried about when interviewed about her illness.

not sure how Satoko can score a 120+ with her clear visible UR and microscopic jumps

judges were too lenient here
Zijun should have been 2nd !

I need to make a video of me sobbing and crying into a camera screaming "Leave Mirai's 3Ls ALONEEEE!!!!!!!" "She hasn't performed at an international ISU Championship in years!!! SHE'S A HUMAN BEING!!!"

Seriously though, NOW Mirai needs to get her act together, she's never been a fighter compared to the likes of Akiko or Irina Slutskaya and she needs to be if she's going to make it, it's really sad because she really was the future of figure skating at one point.

Yes, judges were so lenient here they called multiple underrotations/downgrades on others-- a 2Lo underrotation on Murakami? And PCS here was generally quite low, only one got over 60? If you want lenient, that's Euros.
