Cuuuuute! Their recent photoshoots remind me of...engagement photos...:rolleye:

They are most likely not engagement pictures, but they are just too cute, you know?

Does anyone know where I would be able to find a live steam of Skate America for both Saturday and Sunday? Despite V&T's absence, I'm still interested in seeing what the other pairs are up to.

and another photo http://instagram.com/p/ud6zZDD_t_/?modal=true I think, V/T might got to Sochi today, as a competition of skaters from Krasnodar region is going to be held at their skating centre.
I have read on one of the Russian sites about Maxim's shoulder injury. Nina Mozer said, they'd have to wait for two weeks, then decide about more correct and successful treatment.

I'm back from Skate America. It was SO MUCH FUN! I kept thinking how bummed I was that Max and Tanya weren't there but tried to get it out of my mind and focus on the talent that was there. I was totally over it when I met and hung out with Jeremy Abbott in the hotel bar after his final skate. He was so gracious and just nice to talk to to. Several other coaches (Kori Ade and John Zimmerman) and Choreographers were around and really friendly.

The Russians were most impressive overall. Smirnov and Kavaguti did not skate last year due to injury but after seeing them this weekend I was really impressed. He's tall and strong like Max and she's quite small. Now I'm really interested in seeing what Ksenia and Fedor have come up with to see how it compares, hopefully at the GP Final. The addition of lyrics to the music is also something I'm interested to see. Especially how Max and Tanya, if they choose lyrics, relate to them.

I was also really impressed with the new Russian Ice Dancers (Ivan Bukin and Alexandra Stepanova). The Rostelecom cup is going to be exciting to see the pair who won Bronze at SA and Nikita and Elena's new pairings. For some reason Ivan's personality on the ice really reminded me of Max. I went up to him at the hotel after to try to get a picture and he walked off. I think he didn't see me approaching. Either way the Russian team went out for dinner separately and didn't hang around the hotel bar with the US and Canadian skaters. I imagine it was for the best since if I did get to meet them I would be a total blubbering idiot. I'm counting down the days to hopefully seeing Max and Tanya healthy and skating at the European Championships.

One other thing to note, Germany has lost a key coach with Robins retirement and Aliona teaming with Massot. Ingo Steuer was at SA coaching Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier. I knew I recognized Ingo when I saw him around the hotel. Haven and Brandon looked really good. We'll see if they qualify for the Final. I'm excited to see this new talent to encourage Max and Tanya once he's healthy. I know they won't push it too soon. Lifts and Tanya's safety are too critical.

Maxim and Tanya flew to Sochi according to Nina Mozer http://fsrussia.ru/intervyu/400-nina-mozer-posle-olimpiady-ochen-trudno-nachinat-novyj-tsikl.html I don't think, they're going to skate there, as Nins says, There some positive progress with Maxim's shoulder, he is still has a problem with it. They're going to have a consultation with specialists on the 7-th of November, after that they'll make decision about what to do next.V/T have been training all this time, but they still cannot do lifts. Tanya and Maxim both want to take part in the competitions, but Nina says, they both sports people, so they know how not to rush into doing things.

Photo session with Tatiana and Maxim we spent in the mountain resort and the largest Shem Olympic facilities in Sochi 2014 “Rose Farm”. That made their triumphant Sochi, and here, they return with a special feeling.

I wonder how are the skates that brought you victory?

M: I threw them away. We were in Japan for the ice show, in our last summer tour. There was so much moisture that the skates are soft wet, absolutely filthy in the general home I decided not to carry them. They ride was no longer possible. I say, “Leave for history.” Well, where do I keep them in that rage or in an apartment of 33 square meters? What do I do with them? They are also the smell, I’m sorry for the details. I ride without socks.

Why?

M: I feel better. I had problems with calluses when I rode with socks, and I took them off. The first time it happened by accident: I came to the rink in summer shoes, and it was necessary to act in the ice show. What to do? Donned skates on bare feet and realized how much better I feel.

T: Max is unique in this regard. Usually skaters get used to one brand of skates, and Max still: he has that Italian, American that domestic.

Tanya, you also threw your Olympics skates, or you have a reverent attitude to such things?

T: No, I kept my skates. I loved the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, many skaters left there their Olympic attributes. I think, maybe in Sochi will be a museum of figure skating, and then I’ll give back my skates.

It remains the case for the next generations - to open a museum. You’re together on the ice for four years. As far as I know you, Tanya, from the start you skated with pleasure.

T: Not on the first day, of course. But I quickly got into the taste. I was a child who was very active, very quickly rolled around, could not stop to do the exercises that gave coach - once made, immediately repeated. I was immediately sucked nito figure skating, I love it.

For you, Max, it seems, everything was different.

M: and now I still do not like figure skating.

That’s recognition of the Olympic champion!

M: It’s not a secret. But it so happened that I live the life of a skater, I reached the highest point. Of course, the pleasure I get. I enjoy the process, I like to act, to do some new program, but I hate to exercise. I believe that the process of training is sufficiently tedious. Although, of course, we have not the most boring sport.

And why did you not gave it up at an early age, if there was such mistrust?

M: My parents would not understand. They forced me to go to training, pulled me out from under the bed by the feet and dragged me to the rink. In addition, there was a war in Chechnya. Parents understand that we must do something regarding the army, and if I am a budding athlete I will not be sent in the dangerous places . There was another reason I did not love figure skating. In the 90 years I lived in the city of Perm. On the screen - movies with Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris. And of course, all the kids wanted to practice martial arts, someone was to play football, outdoor ice hockey, hoping to play for the “Hammer-Kama” and for the “stars” of the Permian. But my mother said: “Playing contact sports over my dead body.”

Tough.

M: So I had to wear a suit with sequins, gym shoes and go choreographing. Living in a society that still knows the series “Real boys” - is not easy to be a figure skater. I can not say that I had some problems with my classmates because I’m a skater, no. But if someone stopped and asked what I was doing, I said, skate, without specifying about figure skating. I was ashamed to say.

Well, it seems logical boy arguments. This nuance. Your parents in the past athletes: father was a rider, mom engaged in athletics. Why do they want you to become a figure skater? They felt that you were able to achieve much?

M: In order to act in the ice show and make money, not necessarily to be super talented - you can just stand on skates and be able to ride smoothly. For a while, in the house was a conversation about what to give me and in which athletics. Mom seems to have been already agreed to it, but then there was a series of doping scandals.

Maxim, the impression is deceptive and may you grow obedient and diligent.

M: my personality is very difficult to be obedient.

Explain.

M: I know how I am … In one article I was called revolutionary - in me there is always a protester. I agree with much hostility. The only reason why I have not retired from figure skating, is that I’ve always wanted a little flip. I’m still looking for some because of some little things in the rules of figure skating. We (with Tanya) for three years engaged in changing some things. The person who invented this whole system - this is our domestic expert in skating and the chief judge in the ISU Technical Committee Chairman. Naturally, this man walked with us all these three years, helped giving us advises. One day we had an argument, and in this creative dispute flared up and I said, “I’ll break your system.” He says: “Come on. Let’s break it down together. “

Certainly there are situations when your mood revolutionary breakdowns against you.

M: Of course. My motto in life: “My tongue - my enemy.” All my life I suffered because of my tongue, well, because of the action too. For example, in the school. I might know the subject at five (note: an A), but because of the fact that I did not originally have developed a very good relationship with the teacher, I was getting at best three (note: a C). I did not have good grades because of that.

Clearly, to be a diplomat - This is not your “hobby”

M: Plus, I’m also a decent cad.

The horror! So many flaws. Poor Tanya.

M: Actually, Tanya and I immediately felt very comfortable, not only on the ice, but in life too. For her it was quite unnoticed my unusual way of speaking, behaving rude.

"Behind the scenes" because Tanya just did not feel it or just did not want to notice?

T: I really did not notice. Notice only the good. I am a positive person in life, like good, sun, light, heat, and the like. Some moments I smoothed by not paying attention to some of his negative outbursts.

M: When we met and started to ride together, for both of us a lot was new. We both just arrived in Moscow, I am from St. Petersburg, Tanya - from Germany, where she previously practiced for several years. We come from other worlds. Here in Moscow, of course, all the harder pace of life is different. At first I was very surprised, but I calmly refer to conflict situations, for trouble not climb and try to get sharp corners.

Wait, Max, you’re downright knot of contradictions. Just what you said about conflicts and intransigence

M: If, say, I can see some kind of situation that could lead to a fight, and it does not concern me, it will not get involved, and there are people who immediately rush into battle. I love to talk more, to argue. (Smiles.)

So you’re irascible exclusively on the case.

M: Maybe. For example, shortly after returning from Germany Tanya comes in the subway. She has coins rubles, it starts to count them to buy a ticket. And emptied the cashier this change.

T: In Germany to giving coins you get a very positive attitude.

M: So that’s it, this three-story woman starts yelling: “Go with your trifle in Boulogne.” Here, of course, could not stand up when someone is rude to Tania, I can not stand this.

T: At that time, I still could not answer, stand up for myself.

The nature of man - is also a reflection of his childhood experiences, the environment in which we grew up.

T: I had the good conditions. Mom very carefully treated me. I told her: “Mom, I’m in the 11th grade. Why did you meet me after school?” At that time guys already wanted to see me, and I felt ashamed that my mother was coming after me.

She then moved with you from Dnepropetrovsk to Kiev, when you started to train there, yes?

T: Yes, the first year in Kiev my mother lived with me. She arranged my life, to help me after workouts. We at the time didn’t have a car, and the finances were very difficult.

Well, then, as far as known, you started a romance with your partner. Your mother gave you in safe hands and calmed down?

T: That’s right. Mom came home with peace of mind.

Max has all been absolutely contrary. At 15 years you went from Perm to St. Petersburg alone, and slept for a long time right at the stadium. And the parents did not know anything about your living conditions and it is very strange.

M: Initially it should have been a different situation. I was invited to Peter through my coach. This is a very well-known expert, Olympic medalist in the past and so on. She said that I would live in her house, fully provided for and ride with her daughter.

You’re talking about Lyudmila Smirnova?

M: Yes. We have such a thing: when one partner comes to another, if possible can invite him to live with himself. It happened in May, and in autumn I lived there at that housed a company of service Sports Palace SKA. Many people say to me, saying that you did not serve in the army, you do not know life. And for three years I lived there, I know what the army is. Do not wake up the soldiers, you had to get up very early. I did all this with them. In addition, I washed my clothes, doing other household things.

And why did you coach refused to housing?

M: It was a difficult family situation. I found a shelter, said that as long as I can stay at the stadium, in the barracks with the soldiers. And what could I do? I wanted to stay in St. Petersburg, in St. Petersburg to ride. And I agreed. I was not expelled, they did not say, “Get out”. Everything was normal.

Why did you hid all this from your parents?

M: If you would have known my mother, I would be immediately taken back to Perm.

Your parents did not come to visit you?

M: First, there was no such possibility: I am from a very poor family. The first year I was alone. Then came my father, but he understood, as also not grown in great conditions. Well, my father, of course, told my mother that I have everything in order. When my parents came to Peter together, I did not live with the soldiers, and in the next room, with three skaters.

Good training, Max, was with you at an early age.

M: In 16 years, you’re no longer a child, you want some freedom. And when I lived with my parents did not have the freedom, my mom will not let go. The entire yard was a May 9 salute, and I can not all go to the disco. Mom, apparently afraid of something.

T: In this, our mothers are like. I sometimes liked to do away with the sport, to go to discos butmom would not let me. She wanted me to think only about skating.

M: I was with the girls hugged around the corners and my mom was calling me home from the balcony. We because of this even quarreled. She is now trying to take care of me and my brother, sometimes you have to tell her that I was living alone for 16 years. I know how to live. In St. Petersburg, I had a lot of things. The only thing not allowed was to drink vodka before 18, only tried on my eighteenth birthday. But talks on karaoke, dancing on tables drunks, as the song “Alice” was.We play the guitar, shouting songs, drank port wine. The fact is that when I rode in the gym SKA 18, it was amateur. We practiced once a day in the morning, and then - freedom.

Tanya, you felt the strength of fate?

T: So, as Maxim, no, not experienced. My first big challenging experience - it’s just moving to a big city, in Kiev. But I had a wish, I saw the prospects, I had a goal.

And what about your purpose of Max?

M: Honestly, to win the Olympic Games was not my dream.

T: And I had this dream. We with Tatiana Navka are from the same city, I saw her success. Plus I really wanted to see the world, to get beyond Dnipropetrovsk.

Max, I know that before you met with Tanya, you’ve changed a lot of partners on the ice.

M: I started pair skating at age 11, but it’s very early. I had with my first partner a one year difference. At this age, girls mature faster, I was still a little boy. We could no longer skate together. The second partner left for St. Petersburg. Third just wanted someone to train, and we teamed up temporarily. In St. Petersburg, I already had Ira Ulanova, we got along very well, never had a fight in three years. But she has outgrown me, it was clear that she would not be multi-jumping to do - it is too high for the pair skating.

Tania”s situation in this sense was more stable. You a long time rode with only one partner.

T: It’s not so simple. I was skating up to 14 years in singles, transition I did not want. I had what is called, a solo psychology. I just wanted no one to bother me and I did not want anyone to interfere with me emotionally. A little later, I realized that in single skating I have no prospects, and passed into the pairs.

Logical. So I look, Tanya, as you always smile. I think with your radiant smile you can solve all problems.

M: Tanya can not stop smiling, she just goes and has a solid positive attitude. And I have the contrary. I do not have the people to cause such feelings. But I do not think this is my fault. I feel so comfortable. It happens that a person can say to my friends, that I scared them. I then pass it, and the country becomes. Why would it?

T: Max has big beautiful eyes. Sometimes his eyes scare people, they do not always understand that this view is in itself fraught. Max a lot of time is hovering in his mind, is immersed in them, can not hear each other. I am the first to understand him, and strangers might think he’s aggressive, but in fact…

He is white and fluffy …?

T: somewhere deep down, white and fluffy, yes. (Smiles)

So, Tanya attracts positive things, and Max, on the contrary, nothing but trouble.

T: We are working on the contrast (smiles).

M: we had many adventures. We arrived at the lake and there was a storm, flew to Japan for the Worlds and earthquake, flew somewhere else the weather turned bad, the plane was detained for a long time. We just laugh at it. As they say, the rest can only dream of.

Max I can not ignore one very personal subject. Just on the eve of the European Championships in Zagreb in 2013, your father died.

M: I did not want to talk about it right away. When my father died, my mother first called Nina Mikhailovna Moser, our coach: how to do? to say or not? And Nina had to make a decision. She knew that from me, it is impossible to hide, came to us and said that he had an accident, “You decide, you’ll compete with Tanya in Zagreb or not.” Then she dialed my mother’s house and gave me the phone. But nothing foreshadowed the tragedy. Just the day before we were sitting at home, with Tanya, we communicated.

T: My parents came, my father then met with the father of Max.

M: It turned out that it was the first and last time they saw each other. Dad built a country house near Pskov - he always dreamed of having a home. So he went back to his car on the night from Friday to Saturday. Everything was against him to go: the car that never failed him would not start for a long time and he tooke mine. When he arrived there, he called me and said that everything is normal. And on Sunday evening he has died. When I learned about everything, immediately called my brother. We rarely see each other, but if there is a problem, we are always close by. He also lives in Moscow. We talked about how all this could happen, then I said that I should take off tomorrow at the competition he said: “Dad really wanted and waited.” I went to Nina Mikhailovna with the words: “Everything. We’re going. “

And you came back with the European title. Say, Max, where did you get the power from, moral strength to go on the ice and skate so worthy?

M: I had that did not touch me, do not consoled. I wanted it all to go through one.

T: it would take time.

M: Tanya was also very worried. We arrived in Zagreb, it was not very easy. How to rollback the short program we remember but the arbitrary - no.

T: Besides the short program, we had fun with the theme from “The Godfather.”

M: Blues. And I still had to “play” a person, grimacing. All three minutes, I somehow disconnected from the tragedy.

T: We did not wanted to win, we just rode. There were no other emotion - just arrived, it was necessary to skate program.

Your victory in Zagreb landmark, both of you have expressed the most willpower, I’m not talking about the sporting qualities.

M: We won. But I was so hurt that my father was not exactly a year before the Olympic Games, it was his dream that we won there. Dad understood skating better than any judge, better than I know, where and what activities are held. what shows. I believe that he sees everything and knows everything about us.

Sure. He remains with you thew whole life in your memory. Max, Tanya, I look at you and I have the feeling that you are a single entity.

T: It is said that between us on the ice there is some chemistry.

This is exactly, watching your performance - you on the ice as the two halves.

M: I wanted to keep riding. Always wanted to meet someone who feels and understands me.

T: Max taught me a lot. He’s on the ice more an actor, but I would rather sports component. I felt it quickly and began to ride for him, for a partner, and not judges.

And how quickly this is the chemistry between you came in your personal life?

T: To be honest, we do not like to talk about our personal life, because we are immediately getting married. I can only say that we are an established couple. And on the ice, and in life. And in all complement each other.

M: We have friends, the Canadians Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, the Olympic champions of Vancouver and Sochi silver medalists in ice dancing. When they ride, when they sit together and give interviews, it seems they are just made for each other. And then I can ask in the locker room, “Scott and Tessa live in which room?” “I know? Why do I need to know? “For me, in this case, collapsing some fairy tale. But every time they go out on the ice, this tale comes to life again.

Max, why do you think about the fairy tale and not in a relationship of your friends. when you have.

M: Vadim, the fact is that no one hides, especially just go into details it is not desirable. We are usually asked, “Are you a couple in real life?” We answer: “We’re not at the” House 2” to declare ourselves couple. Tanya and I are all the time together. The only thing, I do not go with her to a manicure and to some women procedures. I went to watch football friend, and Tanya spent time walking the dog.

And you do not happen though sometimes to desire a break from each other?

M: I do not know how Tanya feels, but personally I do not. By the way, at the competitions we never live together. Curious fact. There’s a special aura, each configured itself, on its territory. For example, Tanya needs to do some women stuff, and I have to sleep at this point, and we’re just going to disturb each other. And the rest. There is no point. I do not want to look the other way. I am happy with everything, I am very happy with my life now.

Tanya, you’re thinking about motherhood, or just sports now?

T: Of course, I think, and really want children, but in the next four years, until the next Olympics, choose sport. Motherhood will have to wait and as God wills.

Do I understand correctly that “a wedding” is out of the question for you now?

M: We are at a different stage in life. We now want other things to finish. For example, to repair the new apartment, we were presented after the victory in Sochi. The apartment is small, but it’s ours! Before that, we always had a rented house. Naturally, we train a lot. Overall, we have so many things to do, organizing a wedding we’d simply go mad.

T: Many people think that if athletes won at the Olympics, they immediately have to finish with the sport, get married and procreate. We are in this business, in figure skating, we will establish our own rules within the way. So do not wait for the wedding! When we decide, be sure to invite all.

M: Ha, actually our wedding we had already played on the ice, and not only once.
