Hmmm ... Chan's planned content is provided: 4T+3T; 3A; CCSp; 3Lz; FSSp; StSq; CCoSp.
As is Abbott's, for another example.

But you are not having a senior moment. I do see now that no planned content is listed for "Plyushchenko," for example. (I have not clicked on the plus signs for all the men.)
And I just now tried opening the drop-down sections for five pairs. No planned content listed for any.

I wonder whether planned content will be filled in for all entries by the time that their competition begins.

BTW, I always love your sign-offs, Chris. Appreciate your originality and creativity.

I clicked on the + sign, the planned element content shows up as empty.

Hmmm ... don't know what to tell you.

I now have checked all entries in the team Men's SP, and I am able to see everyone's planned content -- except for Plushenko's.

(So far no planned content for any entries in the team Pairs SP.)

fyi i dont think the usa will medal in the team event. which is sad i was kinda of hoping they would. but what i feared in mens and pairs has happen. the ladies /dance wont be able to make up the difference.

i think it will be russia, canada, japan.

Regarding qualification for the finals, I think that JPN is a lock. The Reeds will probably earn just 2-3 points, but with Mao receiving a 9-10 I don't think that they can miss the finals. As for China though, I am not so sure. USA will surely overtake them with D&W receiving a 10 and Wagner beating Zhang, so that leaves just one spot left. Maybe they can held on to GER and FRA, but if Italy uses Kostner and C&L they can score around 15. So China needs 7-8 points from their dance team and Zhang, which will be really really tough.

1) Zijun Li is most likely skating both segments, not Zhang. And I hardly think Wagner will 'surely' beat Li.

2) Mao receiving 9-10 is a HUGE IF.

I applaud those who of you who can make sense of the team event and who is skating.
I think the team event is a good idea but it seems confusing, to me at least. :frown:

Zijun is leaving for Sochi around the 8th so I don't think she'll be skating in the team event.

You're right. But why not have her skate both segments?! Especially after her good performance at 4CC? There's no way Zhang will break 60 even clean...at least, I doubt it...

This is good news for Canada and USA but bad for Russia. If Zijun were to skate, she has a real chance of beating both Osmond and Wagner if the latter two are less than perfect. At this point, unless Osmond bombs really badly, she won't finish any lower than 5th whereas even if Julia were totally clean, she may still end up being 3rd or 4th, hence significantly narrowing whatever perceived advantage Russia may have in the ladies' event.

Starting orders are up for dance and ladies. Kostner competes (as expected) so it will be a real dogfight for the last spot (and she actually skates last, so all pressure will be on her).

If we assume this ranking for the dance (and I think we can do it safely)
CAN 9-10
USA 9-10
FRA 6-8
ITA 6-8
RUS 6-8
GER 4-5
GBR 4-5
JPN 3
CHN 1-2
UKR 1-2

then the standings entering the ladies will be:
CAN 26-27
RUS 25-27
USA 19-20
FRA 16-18
CHN 16-17
JPN 16
ITA 14-16
GER 14-15
GBR 7-8
UKR 6-7

Almost same as Grand Prix Final (for Ice Dance). They did give level4 steps to both Davis/White and Virtue/Moir then.

Looks like Lakernik worked at 2010 Olympics too so there is a good chance this panel is not very strict.

It seems to me the Chairwoman of ISU Ice Dance Tech. Committee has to be here to ensure there is no shenanigans, so I am pleased to see this arrangement. As for Alpern being the referee, at the end of the day, the referee really doesn't matter wrt to competition results. Judges will do whatever they want, and they will deal with any explanations later. At men's event, a couple of judges gave Plushenko PCS marks that was in no way within the corridor but it was evident they couldn't care less, obviously because they feel they could justify them.
