I want a ball
I want a party
Pink macaroons and a million balloons
And performing baboons and ...
Give it to me
Rrhh rhhh
Now!

I want the world
I want the whole world
I want to lock it all up in my pocket
It's my bar of chocolate
Give it to me
Now!

I want today
I want tomorrow
I want to wear 'em like braids in my hair
And I don't want to share 'em

I want a party with room fulls of laughter
Ten thousand tons of ice cream
And if I don't get the things I am after
I'm going to scream!

I want the works
I want the whole works
Presents and prizes and sweets and surprises
Of all shapes and sizes
And now
Don't care how
I want it now
Don't care how
I want it now

Veruca Salt RULES!!!!!! Thank you for posting this. :)

To be honest, your posts on this matter... You're embarrassing yourself. "Garbage Skater" What kind of person says such a thing?

If I were Sotnikova I'd retire right now. No matter how much she loves skating, nothing is worth the vitriol you people are spewing her way. It's absolutely classless and it's amazing what people are willing to say or do when they can hide behind an internet persona/screen name.

Adelina should stay and not let the vitriol affect her. Hope she wins more gold medals and cause some aneurysms. ;)

I know your comment is lighthearted, but it's still difficult to laugh because that can indeed be the reality we live in. I would have her as the gold contender in 2018, but things got soured. Perhaps this scandal may serve a motivation for her. I'm looking forward to seeing her improvements.

She should skip 2018. With how scarily nationalistic Koreans are being about this affair, I wouldn't be surprised if a nut job tried to harm Adelina physically. Focus on winning world titles instead.

I don't think Adelina will last the whole quad anyways. She needs to concentrate on next year's worlds and then call it a career. No way is she winning this years' or the one in the US in 2016. For security reasons I would skip 2018 Olympics just in case. lol

The score gap between Yuna and Adelinna sotinokova is around 5 points.

And Russians say this is because sotinokova has jumped one more triple jump.

But though Yuna has jumped one less triple jump, she did one more double jump. which means the total number of jumps is just the SAME.

Yuna jumped 6 triple +5 double while sotinokova jumped 7triple + 4 double.

The score gap between triple and double is just 2 points.

This fact shows if that was the main reason to have the score gap it should be more or less around 2points instead of 5 points.

and aside from that, we all know she has one double jump mistake in free program.

this means there must not be any score gap between Yuna and sotinokova.

Therefore Sotinokova score gap argument connecting to number of triple jump is nonsense

why do you keep posting the same posts over and over again  and let alone on Adelina's thread.
you are disgusting, go back to Yuna fan thread and post there as many spams as you want

and what a total hypocrite you even said you were attacking the judging system and not Adelina
yet here you are again trolling into her threads

An article about Adelina: http://en.ria.ru/sochi2014/20140222/187758479/Sotnikova-My-Free-Skate-Was-Better-Than-Kims.html

Sotnikova: My Free Skate Was Better Than Kim's

SOCHI, February 21 (R-Sport) – Russia's Adelina Sotnikova said Friday that she was a worthy gold medalist in the Olympic women's figure skating after her win over Kim Yuna sparked a judging controversy.

Sotnikova, 17, a four-time Russian national champion, trailed Kim, the Vancouver 2010 Olympic gold medalist, after the short program in Sochi. She finished first after being awarded 149.95 points in the free skate despite stumbling after one jump.

Kim, from South Korea, finished five points behind after a skate without obvious mistakes. Her defeat prompted angry criticism of the international judging panel online from her fans, particularly in Korea.

Many commentators have noted, however, that Sotnikova's program involved more complex moves that earned her higher technical marks from the judges.

"I skated very well and my technical score is higher than Yuna's,” Sotnikova said. “My jumps were more complicated, especially in the second part of the cascade, rotations for the fourth level. That means I was better in technique. I skated very well.”

Figure Skating

Sotnikova became the first Russian to win the women's competition and brought Russia its third figure skating gold of the Sochi Olympics, following the host nation's triumph in the inaugural team event and a pairs win for Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov.

Ms. Sotnikova cannot possibly be an objective judge of her own worth. None of us are.

I congratulate her on a personal best skate and felt she did enough to stand on the podium -- but I'm sorry: she did not deserve gold.

She also did not deserve silver.

Since the judges apparently didn't want to give Mao Asada the bronze for whatever reason (yes, I know all about the Code of Points and about Asada's disastrous short program gaining too few), I'd have been OK with Sotnikova winning bronze.

But anything else -- well, it wasn't a win.

It was a gift.

Excellent point. And on that note...

I congratulate her on a personal best skate and felt she did enough to stand on the podium -- but I'm sorry: she did not deserve gold.

Yes she did deserve the gold. But unlike you I will not apologize for my opinion... that's not necessary.

She also did not deserve silver.

Of course she didn't. She earned the gold.

Since the judges apparently didn't want to give Mao Asada the bronze for whatever reason (yes, I know all about the Code of Points and about Asada's disastrous short program gaining too few), I'd have been OK with Sotnikova winning bronze.

This is not about what the judges don't want. It's about what you don't want.

But anything else -- well, it wasn't a win.

It was a win. A win you don't agree with obviously, but a win nonetheless.

It was a gift.

No it wasn't. It was a great and well earned accomplishment. She has every reason to feel proud.

just curious - is everyone here pretty much in agreement that she deserved a 149.95 for the free skate?

Absolutely she deserved 149. A skate with three double axels got 150 and Adelina pcs was so deserved because she had it all in SS and PE and TR and CH and IN.

The only thing thing I'm getting from the thread is that Yuna's ubers are the absolute scum of the figure skating world.

Adelina instagram. Some comments are disgusting

I finally realized there are too many Yuna fans after Sochi. Haha! You are thinking everone having
issues about Sochi Olympics is Yuna fans. That's good!!! I didn't know that a lot of specialists and figure skaters were Yunaubers. As a big fan of Yuna I'm very happy for it. Actually I was just thinking otherpeople are just presenting their anger for the justice.
