A while back I posted that the program from Euros 02 listed Tenley Albright as the first woman to land the double Axel. Many posters responded that it was in fact Carol Heiss. Well, according to this:
they both had it back in the 50s.
Only Tenley and I have the double axel but I land it on the back outside edge. SOME people land it on the inside edge and have to switch over to the outside.
The Lausanne program actually states that Tenley landed it at the 52 Olys, which Heiss didn't attend as she was only 12 at the time.

The mystery continues.
