Did TAT send out a memo requiring the Russian team to skate to Spanish themes? What gives? Is there really no original thought in Russia besides Zhulin?

To be fair, though, Tukt and Sotnikova are actually capable of skating to Spanish music (well, I should add).

She clearly had a bad competition, but the season hasn't even started yet. There are plenty of skaters last season who had terrible pre-season or early season jitters. The point is, her program is pleasant to watch (I agree about less Egyptian hands in her FS). Commenting on her weight and calling her bloated is just pathetic. :disapp:

I don't think it was about her weight at all---it was more about her fitness, and the fact her costumes aren't designed to flatter her. I'm sure she will skate better later in the season, but that FS costume makes her look bigger than she actually is.

Maybe she overate chocolate and this is why she grew so tall. How lazy from her!
How you got to the conclusion she is out of shape, I will never understand.
She looks beautiful and fit. Maybe her height is not ideal for figure skating, but out of shape? Seriously?

Rumours confirmed. Volosozhar/Trankov are skating to Jesus Christ Superstar for long program and their short is Masquarade Waltz from Laputin's ballet.

The article also says that Stolbova/Klimov are keeping their Adams' Family program for first half of the season. The'll start working on new program in september. SP is Flamenco.
Bazarova/Larionov's LP is Polovetsian Dances and SP is to "popular American music from 20's".

I don't see a single skater in those photos who is out of shape. Vasilisa looks beautiful. She is getting a little tall for Andrei, but she's certainly not out of shape.

But then this is sky_fly20, who thinks that any skater who is not her favourite is fat.

Not surprised by the picking at Osmond. This is the natural story arc, right? A break out rookie season is followed by inordinate levels of criticism. We've seen it over and over again. Elaine Zayak burst out in 1981. Criticism and heat 1982. Rosalyn burst out 1982. Criticism and heat 1983. More recent examples in other disciplines too. Hope she can tune it out and just focus on her task at hand. Everyone makes their own progress on their own terms. She has the goods to keep on achieving.

I have never said the word fat ever :disapp:, I said some have weight issues, there is a difference, compare the current shape of Gracie, Adelina to Tuk or Osmond you can at least picture a bit who are ready early in the season

Davankova is so tall now, 100% sure by next year D/D will have different new partners

Thank God. I just wish he would have kept Inception last season, so that he could work out the issues and have it really consistent for this season. Supposedly it was dropped because it was too difficult, but how does it help things to shelve the program and bring it back? He has had so many consistency issues and he NEEDED a program like that one with more transitions. I'm not sure how to expects to possibly become Olympic Champion if the practice isn't there.
