I really like Marin, but it does boggle the mind that she spent almost a full year in the US and still can't communicate? I realize not everyone is a linguist, but at the point, she should be able to talk to her coach and at least express herself in basic terms. Don't they offer some kind of language assistance to skaters from other countries? There are so many apps and language programs out there--my grandparents picked up English by watching TV... yeesh!

According to Raf Marin will return to US next week (I heard this info in the ice time podcast) he said he undestands the dilema Marin is facing of leaving Japan for so long when the culture in US and Japan are so different, and that's kinda why this season Marin will be half of the time in US and half in Japan, he also said that communicate with her is difficult because the language barrier. The first thing that he wants to know when Marin arrives is in what shape she is. The thing that I like about the interview is that he did not say this things in a way that sound like he wanted to blame Marin or exposed her, he talked of her in a sincere way and in my opinion supporting way. After watching the two videos of Marin and The Ice I'm quite optimistic reggarding Marin situation, she improved her spins and her Ina Bauer now is so beautiful, the only thing that catch my eye was her triple salchow it used to be her best jump but know it seems like she's afraid of it, I wonder why. I love her edges, her expresion, and that's the main reason why I want her to be consistent with her tech content so she can have more opportunities to perfom and compete. I'm crossing my fingers with hope that she can get a second spot in case someone withdraw, but if that does not happen then I want her to focus in the one that she has.
Looks like Marin is really working hard on her Seven Nation Army program. https://www.instagram.com/p/B1M7xeLgaTv/
