I think that during his eligible days Ilia Kulik was the fastest of the Russian skaters. There was even an interview where he mentioned how he loves the speed ("The Art of Russian Skating"). LOL, that was from 1997, and Katia was saying that maybe one day Ilia will be an Olympic champpion...

Ilia has always been able to add his speed quickly and extremely effortlessly looking. Also I believe that he still is extremely fast.

Fastest

For ladies, I completely agree with Laetitia Hubert. She was skating so fast at one of the GP's a few years ago that she fell over on nothing... also, Joannie Rochette I'd say is the quickest currently.
