Novice A Ladies
1. Yuna AOKI 79.71 (TES 40.59)
2. Sana SATO 67.80
3. Shiika YOSHIOKA 64.46

Aoki 3Lz-3Lo<< 3S~2A 2A-2T-2Lo 3Lz< 3F 3Lo*
At the time of Asian Trophy, I've wondered if her jump layout is allowed for a novice. The answer is OK at international competitions but not domestically. She has landed all planned jumps so it was not a bad performance. The judges could be a little strict (stingy).

Junior Ladies
1. Reia FUNASAKO 1 1 136.27
2. Kirari KOBAYASHI 4 2 130.47
3. Mone KAWANISHI 6 3 127.21
4. Seika SUZUKI 3 4 124.21
5. Mafuyu KATAHIRA 5 6 119.06
6. Rio TOYAMA 7 5 117.99
7. Makika SAITO 2 10 111.13
8. Hinano KAKU 13 7 109.26
9. Asuka HIHARA 8 8 108.48
10. Miina OZAWA 11 9 105.63

Tanaka SP 3S 3A 3F-3T< / FS 4S<< 3A 3F-3T 3A-2T 3Lz 3S-2T-2Lo 2Lo 3F
He has given up the 4T? Either way, his hope for mastering the quad is small.

Junior Ladies
1. Niina TAKENO 5 1 135.30
2. Yukino FUJI 2 2 134.81
3. Hina TAKENO 1 7 130.24
4. Hinako SENOO 3 4 130.09
5. Hina YAMANAKA 9 3 129.28
6. Miyu NISHIZAKA 4 5 129.08

Hina Takeno (elder sister of Niina) is assigned to JGP Croatia but she doesn't look good.

Japanese ladies are doing great in JGP series this year. I'm surprised to see those talents didn't emerge on the scene before. I'm talking about Yuka Nagai, Rin Nitaya and Miyu Nakashio. It looks like Japan will have a strong ladies team for Junior Worlds this season.

Didn't aoki's lutz get nullified for some reason? Or that's what I saw on Twitter... Do you know anything about that?

Edit: oh it was the Lo. Do you know why it didn't count?

Her layout is definitely allowed. No one stopped Mao from doing the 3A when she was in novice...
I think Karen Chen had almost the same layout when she was a novice and still had 3Lz-3Lo.

Like NMURA has explained, there are rules set by JSF re. jumps allowed for Novice skaters.
I read from Twitter that Novice skaters are not allowed to repeat different triple jumps more than twice, i.e. since she already repeated 3Lz, the 2nd 3L just doesn't count (this rule is for Jpn domestic competitions, I assume)

In the JSF dometic rules, 2A is also included in the Zayak regulation. Aoki's second 3Lo was invalidated since she did two 2A and 3Lz.

Thank you for the post!!

Do you know if Kinki Regionals will be held on scheduled days or postponed due to Typhoon? I think Typhoon's going to hit on 12nd/13rd, hope skaters are not impacted too much.

Hi NMURA thanks for posting! Do you know if Taichi Honda was WD due to injury?

I am still wondering whether to go to watch Jr/Sr FS tomorrow, since JR West Japan announced all the local trains will be stopped from the afternoon:(

These girls are doing great! And to think that people were worried about the state of japanese ladies after Akiko and Mao('s probable) retirements! Thanks NMURA, can't wait for the results from novice and junior nats :)
