This is going to be one of the most interesting events of the season.

There is the first look at what the Russian Nationals in dance will be like.

And will Hawayek & Baker jump.ahead of Aldridge & Eaton in US rankings?

Aren't Elena and Ruslan coming right from Cup of China to this event? No time to correct any feedback they get and travel and time changes may prove exhausting.

Yes, going halfway around the world to do back to back competitions is tough!

Calang & Sidhu will have the same problems in pairs.

I hope they'll dance next to each other, I mean their start order. And I hope I/Z will be more relaxed after their SD at CoC. I think they really have a shot for the silver.
And I wonder how C/B will score when they're not skating home.

Edit: oh and I forgot both teams will be skating on Carmen  double hit!

I think that starting order is done looking at World Standings which is now (World Standings count last three seasons results).

Chock & Bates – 6th place
Coomes & Buckland – 11th place
Hawayek & Baker – 16th place
Aldredge & Eaton – 19th place
Stepanova & Bukin – 21th place
Kim & Minov – 38th place
Ilinykh & Zhiganshin – 81th place (with only one competition finished)
Sinitsina & Katsalapov – no placement yet

So the starting order should be S&K, I&Z, K&M and S&B in the first group and A&E, H&B, C&B and Chock & Bates in the second group.

Oh, this will be awkward. :) The air during warm up will be electric.

Not normally a dance fan but I am looking forward to this short dance. I was impressed with I/Z in China, they have thrown down a very strong marker. Of the three Russian couples it will be interesting to see who comes out on top never mind the battle between Elena and Nikita.

I guess it will be Chock and Bates to win, based on NRW Trophy it will probably be Coomes & Buckland in second with one of the Russians in third.

You have no idea how much does it cost. I think you would need to sell your house

I can imagine! I feel like Elena and Ruslan made a statement in China saying we are here and I'm interested in how not only S/K perform but also S/B. I can't remember being this excited for a Grand Prix event!
